Position Description and General Responsibilities
1.
Report to Quality Supervisor. Interface with the company Quality
Management Supervisor and company Organizational QA/QC Team Leads..
2. Technical supervision, mentor and provide guidance to the QA/QC inspectors of your respective discipline.
3. Coordinate and prioritize work allocation and scheduling the QA/QC inspectors of your respective discipline.
4. Must be experienced and respected as a SME (Subject Matter Expert) in your respective field of influence.
5. Hands on Inspection and QA/QC as a Quality SME (Subject matter expert) when required.
6.
Assist company in the development of a Quality Manual, Quality Plans
and Procedures and implementation of Quality Management procedures.
7. Provide regular reviews of quality system, and develop, maintain, and facilitate implementation of Quality Management Plans.
8.
Develop Quality Management Plans to include requirements to be
implemented during all phases by company and all company contractors and
suppliers
9. Provide reviews and accept all quality documents related to your respective discipline.
10. Review and participate in audit of company contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers.
11. Assist company Quality coordinators to develop and implement Project Execution Plans.
12. Implement a planned and comprehensive system of audits and reviews.
13.
Facilitate a training and staff development plan, mentor, provide
guidance and participate in career development of team members to
provide inspection and oversight of contractors and suppliers.
14. Report to company QA/QC Supervisor on implementation and effectiveness of Quality Management Plans.
15.
Supervise the quality team in verification of contractors’ construction
execution and suppliers’ performance including inspection, quality
verification documentation and System Dossiers development and turnover
performance.
16.
Continuously monitor contractors quality procedures, Inspection and
Test Plans (ITPs), Construction Checks and Quality documents, and
provide training to ensure quality requirements are clearly understood
and being followed.
17.
Participate in Vendor and Contractor qualification process. Revue
Contractors’ and Vendors’ Inspection and Test Plans, and plan, prepare
for and coordinate Vendor and contractor inspections.
18.
Plan, supervise and conduct Quality audits, supplier and field reviews
of work practices, inspections and documentation to ensure Contractors,
Suppliers, and Subcontractors execution according to approved
procedures, codes, specifications and regulations.
19. Review quality verification documents and Dossiers to ensure completeness and correctness for turnover.
20.
Play active role in effectively implementing Operational Excellence,
Value Improving, and Preventive Action Team Programs. Proactively
identify and assist in applying Best Practices and Lessons Learned and
gaining implementation of actions necessary to improve performance.
21. Prepare periodic reports for Quality Supervisor, including Project Weekly Quality Assurance and Control Reports.
22.
Manage and maintain a review process of all contractor Quality turnover
documents including development of file system, storage, retrieval
methods and transmittal for retention; Audit Reports, Surveillance
Reports, NCRs, IM&TE, etc.
23. Play active role in deployment of safety culture.
24. Ensure implementation and compliance of all CONTRACTOR and company safety programs
25.
Remain knowledgeable of safety policies and procedures and perform
assigned duties in a safe manner and, while leading others.
26.
Employ Quality Team Values to achieve continuous improvement and
performance excellence including establishment of team member roles,
responsibilities, standards and expectations.
27.
Monitor and evaluate Quality team member’s performance against
expectations including Operational Excellence and Quality Team Values.
28.
Review and gain signatures by all team members on Position
Descriptions, and implement weekly team meetings to communicate progress
and status of Quality and Project initiatives.
29.
Provide guidance and participate in career and professional development
of Quality team members. Train, develop, mentor, provide guidance and
participate in career development of local inspectors to provide
inspection and oversight of contractors and suppliers.
Profile and Key Selection Criteria
• Highly motivated individual that is capable of leading high performance team.
•
Strong Quality background and leadership experience on large
construction projects including quality audits and surveillance
functions.
•
Strong written and verbal communication skills and working knowledge of
computer programs including Word, Excel, and Power Point.
•
College graduate in Engineering field or equivalent professional
experience in major international construction projects and quality
programs.
• If not already certified, must be qualified and capable of gaining Lead Auditor Certification.
