Quantity Surveyors
Experience: 8 to 13 yrs.
- Liaise closely with the Project Manager on all commercial matters to jointly obtain maximum commercial benefit from a project.
- Liaise with the Project Manager to prepare draft sub-contract documentation (including bid tabs/analysis) and to assist the Project Manager in obtaining the best commercial and technical deal available in the market. The quality assurance requirements of sub-contracts must be addressed.
- Produce monthly operating statements by prescribed dates and to discuss the commercial implications of that statement with the Project Manager to ensure there is an understanding of the commercial position of the Project.
- Undertake re-measurement and prepare, submit and agree monthly valuations, variations and final accounts. Interim accounts shall also be discussed with the Project Manager to allow engineering staff input. Awareness of site activities is fundamental.
- Prepare cash flows and claims documentation.
- Check that numbers of resources (labour, plant, and staff) and hours being worked are within tender/CTC allowances and review with the Project Manager. Identify areas of waste or loss on resources and advise the Project Manager.
- Monitor all Project correspondence for commercial issues and initiate commercial correspondence.
- Ensure site documentation is properly archived at Head Office at the end of the project.
- Ensure timely notices of default are issued to subcontractors and suppliers in accordance with terms of their Order or Sub-contract.
- Identify areas of commercial risk on the Project as early as possible and review with the Project Manager ways of avoiding that risk.
Qualified Quantity Surveyors with minimum 8-15 years experience in post tender quantity survey, progress measurement, billing and claims for large integrated MEP Projects like airports, hotels, hospitals, commercial, residential and industrial projects. Excellent knowledge of commercial terms and conditional is essential.
QA/ QC Manager / Engineer
Experience: 10 to 15 yrs.
- Development and Implementation of Project Specific Contract Quality Plan, Procedure, work instructions and quality Control plans.
- Ensuring maintenance of Company's QMS in compliance with ISO 9000.
- Ensuring use of latest approved shop drawings for construction at project sites.
- Ensuring inspection of material received at site after receipts.
- Ensuring use of latest revision of all Contract Documents, Contract Specifications and engineering reference and Standards.
- Internal Auditing, Verification of quality records and follow up of corrective actions, at Various MEP projects Sites.
- Coordinate with Project Manager, Main contractor's MEP coordinators for smooth implementation of Quality system.
- Tracking of Testing Equipments and Instruments for Calibration Records.
- Ensuring the maintenance of signed off Inspections and Test records.
- Identification, investigation resolution and close out of non conformities.
- Identifying training needs of personnel and provide training on Quality Management.
- Maintain Training Records.
- Ensuring the smooth handing over documentation for completed projects.
- Maintain good relationships with the client and develop a professional team to establish the company (BEC) as the contractor of choice.
Manage and Implement Company's Quality Management System especially in MEP & HVAC projects in terms of Adherence of quality procedures and maintains Quality Records of various MEP works sites, whilst developing relationships with the client and also developing a professional team to work under limited supervision.
