We are now looking for a Functional Safety Assessor to grow assessment capability. You will evaluate the functional safety of designs developed within Research & Development. As a Functional Safety Assessor you will be independently responsible for assessing the functional safety of a design by reviewing the safety related design documentation and verifying that ISO 26262 requirements are fulfilled by the project.

Job description:

To conduct Functional Safety Assessment according to ISO 26262 (i.e. assess achieved level of functional safety for a system/function) 
To conduct the confirmation measures required for the Functional Safety Assessment. 
Together with System Safety team and external contacts, improve the knowledge and understanding around ISO 26262 within the company
Functional safety assessment planning and reporting of results (recommending acceptance, conditional acceptance or rejection of the achieved functional safety) regarding ISO 26262 
Functional Safety Audit 

Requirements - Must list (short, and real must, no order)

Bachelors degree in Electrical engineering, Mechatronics, Automation control or similar competence through other education and /or professional experience 
At least five years experience from development of electronic systems, preferable with a combination of functional-, system-, hardware and software development for embedded systems 
At least three years of experience from functional safety engineering within Automotive 
In depth knowledge of ISO 26262 and its application 
Experience from working with assessment methodology 
Experience from working in product development process 
Fluent in English, both written and spoken

Strong sense of responsibility and commitment, innovative thinking.

Good to have:

M.Sc. in Electrical engineering, Mechatronics, Automation control or similar competence through other education and /or professional experience
