Procurement Manager for UAE

  • The Procurement Manager is in-charge for managing and coordinating with several manufac-turers to source products for customers, channel partners across Africa. He should have knowledge of medical instruments, devices and consumables.
  • He has to constantly coordinate with sales & service colleagues to assist them with the right product at the right price. He must be adept & capable to source multiple products which meets the end user requirement with different price points.
  • He must possess excellent negotiation skills and must have a thorough understanding of overall landed cost. This includes & is not limited to logistic options, logistic costs, customs duties & other important related costs.
  • He must be capable to not only negotiate pricing but also must work towards winning commercial offer favouring the company. Extended warranties, installation support, after sales application & service support, spares support are few areas which he must explore and must push for favourable deals.
  • Must be willing to travel extensively to meet end user & channel partners. Must have experience working in Africa, spoken & written knowledge of French could be an added advantage.
  • He is responsible for managing inventories & must have a thorough knowledge of inventory management including managing cold storage.
  • Must ensure that end user or channel partner timelines are met hence must consistently main-tain JIT & minimal TAT without impacting the overall landed cost.
  • Will be the single point of contact for 3PL & will communicate frequently with 3PL partners to deliver his KRAs.

  • Chain management and should have more than 5 years work experience in managing procurement

  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently

  • Ability to work well with management and staff at all levels
  • Goal-oriented, organized team player
