Network Specialist

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1)Responsible to undertake data network fault investigations in MCGAs local and wide area environments, using information from multiple sources.
2) Performs root cause analysis of the network.
3) Provide guidance to MCGA ITC staff to maximize network performance by monitoring performance, troubleshooting network problems and outages, scheduling upgrades and maintaining network optimization.
4) Ensure cabling requirements adheres to industry best practice as well as assist in repairs where necessary.
5) Identify new network technology trends and solutions and leverage existing network infrastructure where possible

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED

1) Knowledge of Current Hardware, protocols & Standards including CISCO & VSAT
2) System Infrastructure
3) System Integration
4) Knowledge of infrastructure protocol (CISCO, MPLS, SD-WAN, Routing, Switching)
5) End User & Integration experience with network management, monitoring & Operations tools
6) 10+ of IT experience in network Engineering
7) Bachelor Degree in Computer Science , Information Technology

CERTIFICATIONS
1) Cisco UC & Call Manager
2) PMI
3) ITIL
4) CCNP

Proven Experience with established standards such as ITIL, PMI

RFID Specialist
Roles and Responsibilities

1)Responsible for defining and comparing possible radio frequency identification device (RFID) solutions to inform selection for specific implementation.
2) Determine usefulness of RFID technologies to MCGA by assessing product or process usefulness.
3) Identifying operational requirements to integrate RFID with CAIS
4) Determine means of integrating radio frequency identification device (RFID) into CAIS and other applications.
5) Assist MCGA in installing, testing and maintaining RFID systems
6) Perform site analyses to determine system configurations, processes to be impacted, or on site obstacles to technology implementation
7) Collect data about existing client hardware, software, networking, or key business processes to inform implementation of radio frequency identification device (RFID) technology
8) Estimate technical or resource requirements for RFID-enable projects
9) Create an MCGA RFID technology roadmap

Experience and Skills required

1) Expertised in RFID Technology
2) Customs and border management
3) 5+ years of experience in RFID experience
4) B.Sc/ B.Tech
Server and Infrastructure Specialist
Responsibilities and Duties

1) Responsible to design, implement and support infrastructure solutions, based on MCGAs
proposed enterprise architecture, including mobile devices, desktop, storage and servers for the CAIS upgrade.
2) Design high levels of performance,availability and security of IT systems.
3) Conduct a data centre assessment and establish the total cost of ownership.
4) Conduct a consolidation strategy for servers, storage and printers.
5) Conduct capacity planning by establishing existing capacity and forecasting future capacity based on growth requirements.
6) Review and approve the project IT Infrastructure deliverables and artefact, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
7) Provide guidance to the MCGA staff members.

Qualifications and Skills

1) Knowledge of digital/disruptive Technologies.
2) Large IT Project Management
3) 10+ in Systems infrastructure administration in a large enterprise organisation.
4) 5 years Large scale IT project management experience
