We are looking for two IT Application Support Analysts to work in Atyrau (Kazakhstan)
 
Technical Support of ERP systems (such as SAP), SQL Servers and Oracle Databases in use in NCSPSA venture
 
Accountabilities and Responsibilities:
·         Working closely with both the Application specialists and the IT departments of NCSPSA Venture (NCOC, NCPOC, Agip KCO)  supporting the ERP Technical Team Lead
·         Provide SAP Basis Administration and WAS (Web Application Server) support
·         Maintain the technical environments used by other ERP Systems (SmartStream Business Object
·         Resolve technical and business issues within the standard problem escalation process using Call Logging system and responding immediately to any critical conditions and proactively to any developing conditions, including Database locking (track, document, and correct).
·         Document processes and procedures regarding system maintenance and installation configuration
·         Prepare technical/project plans for the application of Service Packs, Electronic Software Updates, upgrades and other changes to the system configuration.
·         Apply upgrades and updates including service packs, ESUs, ASUs, SAP Hot/Support Packages and Kernel patches, Oracle and SQL servers DBs.
·         Monitor and optimize response times of ERP Systems including Oracle and SQL databases and Citrix Metaframe
·         Support the ERP Security officer and enforce security of system data access
·         Administer, maintain, review, develop and implement policies and procedures for ensuring the security & integrity of Company’s databases, coordinate with teams to implement any changes
·         Work with software vendors (Web site, hotline) to troubleshoot technical issues
·         Develop and implement system backup and recovery strategy
·         SQL Server and Oracle Database administration
·         Unix administration,
·         Perform on-going tuning of the ERP, Web and Terminal Server environments
·         Work with other Venture IT/IM teams (e.g. Application Support, Networking, and Help Desk) and/or ENI/SHELL teams to facilitate and apply changes, patches, and update in the ERP Systems, provide pre and post go live support.
·         Work with IT/IM teams and/or ENI/SHELL teams and closely with ERP team to provide support to SAP R/3 Application and Portal
Carry out other responsibilities as assigned by Line Manager that are related to this job.  
 
Qualifications, Experience & Skills:
 
Education 
·         Candidates must have at least a Bachelor's in Computer Science/IT or relevant field.

Experience
Candidates should have recent experience in the administration of SAP R/3, SAP Portal, SAP Solution Manager, Oracle /SQL Server Database, Unix/Windows Operating Systems, in a multi Server Environment...
 
Skills
  • SAP Basis Administration (R3 4.7, ECC, BW, Portal and Solution Manager) in a Unix/Windows ; Previous experience working in large-size High-Availability complex SAP/Oracle production environment is preferred
  • experience on SAP Basis software upgrades/ patches , including Production
  • Proficient in SAP AS Java administration and troubleshooting
  • Oracle DBs Administration, Performance Tuning and troubleshooting; software upgrades/ patches  in Sap Landscape, including Production
  • Experience with database management, performance tuning and administration skills on SQL Server 2000 and 2005 is highly preferred
  • Experienced administration in  UNIX environment, preferred in HP-UX
    • High practical skill level with most Unix commands and utilities
    • Very comfortable with most aspects of the Unix operating system
    • Solid understanding of networking/distributed computing environments and security
    • Ability to analyze/write detailed scripts in at least one administrative language
    • Good exposure on HP-UX Unix cluster and Disaster Recovery technology
  • Previous experience working in a large scale production environment is preferred
  • Ability to understand and apply technical knowledge with no supervision
  • Ability to work well under pressure and to make decisions affecting the ERP system
  • Ability to deal with a varied number of technical issues on a senior level and to further their skills in the ERP technical area.
  • Good organization skills
  • Ability to complete properly given tasks within deadlines assigned.
  • Ability to recognize constraints and criticalities and to report it timely.
  • Good communication skills – both verbal and written and excellent teamwork/people skills
