Sharjah Cement Factory (A division of Sharjah Cement & Industrial Development Co.) The Factory is situated 25 km east of Sharjah City on the Sharjah-Dhaid road, 10 km beyond Sharjah International Airport.The plant was commissioned in 1977 under the supervision of APCEM Engineering Co. Ltd., a fully owned subsidiary of the world renowned cement manufacturers, Blue Circle Industries PLC, U.K
- ROLE PURPOSE:
- To design, configure, integrate, implement and maintain control systems & instrumentation.
- Reporting to the Dy. Chief Engineer E & I and is responsible for maintenance, trouble shooting and spare parts requirements of Control Systems & Instrumentation.
- Coordinate with Dy. Chief Engineer E & I in manpower planning for routine maintenance, preparatory / improvement jobs and prioritizing.
- Plan, organize and monitor preventive maintenance, scheduled overhauls, break down repair as well as major repair activities.
- Planning, indenting, technical evaluation and inspection of spare parts.
- Assess Software/Hardware modification/improvement requirements and implement to DCS Systems / sub-control systems.
- Guide, train and motivate the subordinates to ensure safe working and maintain discipline.
- Coordinate with other departments on a day to day basis for relevant jobs.
- Identify the jobs for improvement of plant availability, safety and environment.
- Trouble shooting, condition monitoring, cause and effect analysis and crisis management.
- Assist Dy. Chief Engineer in correspondence / follow up with various agencies.

- Requirements: Level of education :
- Degree in Instrumentation / Electronics Engineering. Job related work experience :
- Minimum 10-15 years experience in a cement manufacturing continuous process plant.
- Computer skills with programming and network knowledge.
- Good Organization, Communication, and Man Management Skills.
