- B.E in Mechanical Engineering
- 10 to 15 year experience in maintenance in chemical/ Fertilizer plant or refinery in similar capacity.
- Demonstrated knowledge of rotating & non- rotating equipment operation & maintenance ,
- Proficiency in Reliability Engineering Tools & Techniques i.e. RCA, RCM, FRACAS, PM, PdM & CMMS.

- Provides technical expertise & improvement for rotating & non- rotating mechanical equipment i.e. pumps, compressors, valves, piping & pressure vessels.
- Provides plant with latest mechanical engineering technology required to support mechanical equipment under the jurisdiction of maintenance & production management.
- Leads improvement teams in their use of tools & techniques to improve equipment performance i.e. RCA,RCM,FRACAS,PM, & PdM
- Reviews & prepares diagram ,charts , drawings, calculations & reports for defining equipment problems & makesrecommendation for improvements
- Provides in depth analysis & evaluation of mechanical equipment problems
- Develops engineering package & coordinates the implementation of solutions to equipment problems
- Train & develops specialists & technicians in technology applications.
- Has direct contact with the technology groups & represents the site on technology Committees & meetings.
- Has ability to supervise a group of people from different technical backgrounds.
- Trains & keeps mechanical technicians up to date on new technology application.
- Assists the rotating & non- rotating mechanical equipment specialists in the analysis & solutions to mechanical equipment problems.
- Troubleshoots & helps determine equipment problem root causes.
- Develops equipment improvement ideas & issues reports & makes recommendations for improvement.
- Leads study & investigation teams while analyzing & recommending improvements.
- Reviews equipment repair reports for completeness & accuracy & suggest recommendations for improvements as required.
- Recommends equipment inspection frequency changes.
- Specifies & coordinated the replacement & upgrade of existing equipment
- Recommends spares & revise spares for description & optimal maximum/minimum stock levels.
- Sets repair procedures for reconditioning equipment parts as rotors, shafts, exchangers, bearings etc.
- Have basic knowledge in inspection , vibration analysis, balancing & lubrication
- Proficiency in English (Spoken , written & Reading)
- Willingness to work , for extended hours
- Be available for call in duty , as required
- Well familiar in use of various computer tools & software for preparing reports & presentation materials.
- Ability to train technician in repair procedures etc
- Adequate knowledge of all preventive & predictive maintenance procedures for all equipments in fertilizer plants
