Senior Software Engineer for Solveso Interactive Pte Ltd (Singapore)

Experience: 5 to 10 yrs.  | Salary: INR 4,00,000 - 9,00,000 P.A

Should be a self-starter, motivated, with aptitude and willingness to provide technical direction for the development & support team. Must demonstrate the ability to analyse and understand complex problems, make sound technical decisions/recommendations, and communicate solutions in a proactive manner. Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills and be able to articulate concepts effectively to business users and technologists at all levels. Must demonstrate a keen interest to learn the business and its processes, in order to best support internal users and external clients.

1. Expertise in full software development life cycle.
2. Take ownership of application component design and contribute to overall application architecture.
3. Lead the development team with understanding of latest programming tools in Java and J2EE.
4. Design using latest object/service oriented technologies including both functional and technical design.
5. Drive design reviews, and incorporate lessons into work practices at the application level.
6. Database skills in Oracle/MS SQL Server with good documentation skills.
7. Execute/Coordinate of SIT, UAT, and when required, other forms of tests like Post-Migration Tests with close management and tracking of bugs toward a swift resolution.
8. Incorporate risk planning & mitigation into work efforts and extend awareness of risks associated with application development and their potential impacts within IT, Business, and the firm's reputation.
9. Supervise quality of work & act as a mentor to the junior staff.
10. Responsible of current production systems/rollouts with proactively monitoring application status against service levels and address any issues including senior manager escalation and issue management.
11. Take ownership in resolving production issues including root cause analysis & guiding the team in implementing bug fixes.
12. Develop and maintain strong relationships with users, including front office, back office and other internal groups.
13. Develop and maintain relationships with other technology teams including other global application development teams and technology infrastructure (e.g. DBA, server teams, web services, etc).

Qualifications:  TO QUALIFY, YOU MUST POSSESS:

1. Bachelors/Masters degree in Information Technology/ Computer Science with minimum of 5 years of development experience
2. Technical expertise should include:
3. Detailed knowledge of Service Oriented Architecture (SOA), Enterprise Service Bus (ESB),
4. and Object Oriented Analysis and Design/Development (OOA/OOD).
5. Proficiency with Java/J2EE, XML, SOAP, Servlet, Web Service and other relevant Java technologies.
6. Strong understanding of web User Interface technologies (HTML, JSP, Tag Libraries, AJAX, JavaScript).
7. Integration experience with Third Party Applications (examples: Content Management Systems,Search Engines and Web Services.
8. Experience in configuring and handling enterprise search applications i.e Lucene, Solr, Google Appliance, Inquira Knowledge Management would be an added advantage.
9. Solid database (Oracle, SQL Server):
10. product knowledge including transaction management, SQL programming, schema design and JDBC.
11. Strong understanding of Application Servers (WebLogic) and prefer prior hands-on experience.
12. Knowledge of Java open source technologies and frameworks:
13. JDeveloper, Eclipse, Ant, Maven, Struts, open commerce/standardized API's.
14. Experience working in Agile development environment would be an advantage.
