Position : Mechanical Engineer - Gas Turbine

Location : Uzbekistan

Reporting : This position shall be reporting to Product Head/ Project Manager

Job function : Thermal Energy

Role:

As a Mechanical Gas Turbine Expert, you will be working under the Project Manager for a gas-based combined cycle power plant project preferably having high efficiency advanced class Gas Turbine as an integral item of Plant Power Island along with STG & HRSG. Prime responsibility will include design review of EPC design along with Construction supervision of site erection & commissioning activities and coordination with Client & other project stakeholders.

Requirements:

• Must have good knowledge of Simple Cycle and Combined Cycle Power Plant including its layout, system configuration, Gas Turbine and related system auxiliaries and its interface engineering.
• Must be able to provide lead role in Owners Engineering (Review of Design Documents) along with supervising contractors works at site including field engineering.
• Interdisciplinary coordination and experience in resolving technical issues at site.
• Project progress monitoring in addition to assistance in project planning and scheduling.
• Contribute to training of client counterpart staff through on-the-job training and classroom training programs.
• Ensure adherence to project safety plan.
• Ensure adequacy of operation and maintenance manuals
• Experience in preparation of bidding documents, technical bid evaluation and support in procurement of O&M spare parts.
• Knowledge of all relevant international standards and guidelines i.e. American Standards, European Standards, British Standards, GOST, KMK / Uzbek Local Codes etc.
• Adequate experience in undertaking factory and on-site inspection tests of key equipment in accordance with inspection plan.
• Experience in certifying As Built drawings.
• Proficient in Microsoft word, excel, power point presentation Creating documents, writing weekly & monthly reports according to engineering as well as project construction development.
• Time management and professionalism.

Experience:

• Minimum 10 years of professional experience in engineering for Gas based CCPP projects having high efficiency advanced class Gas Turbine including review engineering of EPC/OEM detail design with field engineering and construction supervision experience.
• Minimum working experience in Two (2) nos. similar nature of projects in similar positions in last ten (10) years is essential.
• Major experience of working in Power Island equipment including Gas Turbine in Gas based thermal power plants will be an added advantage.
• Working experience for a minimum duration of one (1) year in similar geographical countries with cultural, administrative, and governmental organization is essential.
• Working experience in Uzbekistan will be an added advantage.

Other Requirements & Expectations:

• Able to communicate in English. Communication in Russian or Uzbek language will be an added advantage.

• Self-disciplined and demonstrated capability to work as a lead team member
• Multidisciplinary coordination skills.
• Good organizing skills with Client and various stakeholders.

Required Qualification

• Bachelors Degree in Mechanical engineering as a minimum. Degree Certificate from well recognised institution is essential.
• Master’s Degree or professional qualifications in Mechanical Engineering or membership in relevant professional associations will be an added advantage.
