Safety Officer



Job Description:


We seek a highly skilled and experienced Qualified Safety Engineer to join our team for our prestigious Port project in Neom City, Saudi Arabia. The successful candidate will be responsible for safety management to support the successful delivery of the project.


Key Responsibilities:


• Hazard spotting and immediate action as necessary. Further recording of all hazards identified and action taken for distribution among the Construction Management.
• Implementation of the JV OSH Procedures.
• Provision of General and task-specific Toolbox talks on a daily and weekly basis.
• Prepares safety regulations and guiding signs.
• Performs safety inspections.
• Conducts accident investigations, and suggests preventive measures.
• Examines potential unsafe working conditions and provides corrective actions.
• Manages the performance of all their team members.
• Performs other duties as required.


Qualifications and Experience:


-IOSH is managing safely, using NEOM Safety Essentials or equivalent.
-More than 3 years experience in construction.
-Member of IOSH, or equivalent professional body (desirable)
- Good problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment.
- Good verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Familiarity with local HSE codes and regulations in Saudi Arabia.

Safety Inspector





Job Description:


We seek a highly skilled and experienced Qualified Safety Engineer to join our team for our prestigious Port project in Neom City, Saudi Arabia. The successful candidate will be responsible for site safety inspection to support the successful delivery of the project.


Key Responsibilities:


• Monitors the overall safety procedures including equipment safety and professional clothing compliance.
• Conducts periodic maintenance and inspections of the fire extinguishers.
• Monitors site security and safety.
• Examines potential unsafe working conditions and takes corrective action.
• Ensure Inspection for equipment, tools, and working conditions through a Competent AP (Appointed Person)
• Ensure periodic inspections of safety belts, ladders, ropes, rubber goods, Lifting Gear, and tools and replace those not meeting safety requirements.
• Observes crews at work and reports a lack of discipline in safety precautions, such as failure to use goggles, rubber gloves, and other safety devices.
• Investigate accidents to determine causes and devise preventive measures.
• Instruct workers in the use of safety equipment and safe work methods.
• Performs other duties as required.


Qualifications and Experience:


-Secondary school or industrial technical certificate and a basic/introductory health and safety qualification.
-More than 2 years experience in construction.
-Member of IOSH, or equivalent professional body (desirable).
- Good problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment.
- Good communication skills in English.
- Familiarity with local HSE codes and regulations in Saudi Arabia.

Safety Engineer





Job Description:


We seek a highly skilled and experienced Qualified Safety Engineer to join our team for our prestigious Port project in Neom City, Saudi Arabia. The successful candidate will be responsible for safety management to support the successful delivery of the project.


Key Responsibilities:


• Implements Safety & Emergency Plan/Program. Conducts OSH orientation to new employees.
• Ensures OSH compliance during site setup.
• Conducts Safety toolbox meetings, OSH awareness sessions & training. Investigates incidents, conduct root cause analysis, and corrective & preventive actions.
• Conduct site emergency drills. Conducts Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment and recommends the controls to mitigate the hazards.
• Reviews Material Safety Data sheets. Ensures material handling and storage is conducted in an approved manner.
• Conducts planned inspection, identifying potential hazards and ensuring controls are in place. Prepares traffic plan at the site.
• Monitors waste management and ensures disposal as per safety plan. Issue work permits for hazardous jobs at the site if required.
• Conduct OSH audits and analyze the trends. Manages the performance of all their team members, irrespective of the structure below them. Performs other duties as required.


Qualifications and Experience:


-NEBOSH General or Construction Certificate, or equivalent.
-More than 5 years experience in construction and Auditor Training (desirable).
-Member of IOSH, or equivalent professional body.

- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Familiarity with local HSE codes and regulations in Saudi Arabia.
- Opportunities for career advancement and professional development.


The project only covers accommodation, food, and on-site transportation within Neom.
