Experience:
3 to 7 yrs.
- Need to take ownership of the designing databases on MYSQL.
- Standardization of MYSQL database environments.
- Develop and administer processes for performance tuning of databases.
- Develop and administer processes for capacity planning.
- Provide proactive performance monitoring of databases ensuring service levels are met.
- Administrate change control of physical data structure for all environments.
- Develop and administer backup, restore and disaster recovery procedures for databases.
- Create physical data structures from either vendor supplied data base design or custom data base design for all environments.
- Provide primary and backup support to ORACLE/SQL databases.
- Required to visit the mortuary.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Keeps abreast of new developments in computing equipment; systems analysis; database design and database programming techniques through the use of all available educational sources.
- Look beyond initial design requirements to create optimal database configuration that meets the business needs.
