STRATEGIC
Ensure the development of key policies, guidelines, and systems for the function and ensure compliance with approved guidelines.
Participate in the continuous development and improvement of business procedures to ensure that the appropriate level of quality is achieved.

OPERATIONAL
Manage the development and implementation of appropriate 
technology solutions to satisfy the needs of Bank and the financial institutions connected to it for the purposes of payment systems and other systems provided by Bank.
Review IT projects progress, manage the solution development and maintenance issues to ensure that processes are completed within the allotted timeframe and specified budget,and highlight any discrepancies, if any.
Identify, in conjunction with the respective functions heads, the technology requirements related to the office automation (i.e. computer machinery and software) with the objective to assist the employees in performing and accomplishing their daily tasks properly and efficiently, as well as to support Banks operational objectives. 
Monitor service quality provided by the help desk and take corrective action to ensure that the help desk services are provided efficiently at the least costs. 
Manage the planning of IT projects lifecycle deployment, entailing the testing, user acceptance, project documentation and post launch support phases.
Develop IT resources capacity planning, ensuring the timely identification of future requirements, the current status of all outstanding requirements and early awareness of application release plans.
Prepare budget estimates (timelines, cost, resources, development and testing environments) for solution development and deployment activities and ensure that necessary resources are available for each solution development and deployment.
Ensure that the appropriate training is provided to users and service delivery teams.
Manage requisition requests for the procurement of IT services with respect to IT Solutions Development required by the different functions across Bank.
Identify vendors / consultants / system integrators for solution development and conduct technical evaluation of proposed solutions and present the results to the Head of Information Technology.
Lead the implementation of selected systems and coordinate their integration with Banks existing systems and enterprise systems.
Ensure that services provided are as per SLAs agreed with service providers and meet Bank requirements. 
Ensure the adherence of the proposed technology solutions with Bank policy and the industry leading practices.
Monitor the employees satisfaction with IT services and take any measures/ corrective actions as required to address employee queries or dissatisfaction.
Perform any other duties within the scope of work.

PEOPLE DEVELOPMENT
Provide leadership and direction to subordinates towards the achievement of goals and objectives.
Guide and motivate subordinates to enhance performance and produce quality work, and ensure that they are continuously developed for higher level roles.
Prepare performance evaluation and appraisal reports of direct reports to assess subordinates productivity and progress, and identify training needs of team members
