Payments Manager

Summary:
This role will lead and oversee the payments function, ensuring accurate, efficient, and secure
processing of financial transactions related to vendor payments, settlements, and other payment
activities. Your strategic leadership, expertise, and attention to detail will play a critical role in
optimizing payment processes, enhancing financial controls, and maintaining the highest standards of financial integrity within the organization.
Key Outputs:-
1. Payments Strategy and Management:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive payments strategy aligned with the airline's financial
objectives and industry best practices.
- Oversee the execution of various payment methods, including electronic fund transfers, wire
transfers, checks, and other digital payment solutions.
2. Vendor Payment Processing:
- Ensure accurate and timely processing of vendor payments, verifying payment details, coding,
and adherence to payment terms and contractual obligations.
- Review and approve high-value or complex payments to ensure accuracy and compliance.
3. Reconciliation and Reporting:
- Oversee payment reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and resolution of discrepancies.
- Prepare regular financial reports and analysis related to payments for management and
stakeholders.
4. Financial Control and Compliance:
- Establish and enforce strong internal controls and adherence to financial regulations, policies,
and standards.
- Collaborate with internal audit teams to support audit readiness and provide necessary
documentation and explanations.
5. Payment Automation and Process Enhancement:
- Identify opportunities for process automation, efficiency improvements, and digitization of
payment processes.
- Implement new technologies and tools to streamline payment processes and enhance
operational efficiency.
6. Fraud Prevention and Security:
- Implement and monitor payment fraud prevention measures, ensuring the security of payment
processes and sensitive financial information.
- Collaborate with cybersecurity and IT teams to ensure robust payment data protection.
7. Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Collaborate with various departments, including finance, procurement, and IT, to integrate and
optimize payment processes across the organization.
8. Team Leadership and Development:
- Lead and mentor a team of finance professionals within the payments function, setting
performance goals, providing guidance, and facilitating professional growth.
- Foster a collaborative and innovative team culture that supports continuous improvement and
knowledge sharing.
Job Requirements:-

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; CPA or equivalent certification is preferred.
- Proven experience (5+ years) in accounts payables, payments, or financial operations, with demonstrated leadership and managerial experience.
Experience Required :
- Strong understanding of financial principles, regulations, and internal controls related to payments.
- Proficiency in financial software, ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle), and payment platforms.

Management Accountant
Min. Experience : 4 -10 years
Summary:
Prepare, monitor and control, the accounts for a department or business unit, to ensure a true and fair view of that department or business units financial affairs is recorded.
Key Outputs:-
Prepare a set of management accounts, with input from core partners in Finance and the
department or business unit being supported, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Take ownership of other critical financial elements aligned to the department or business unit
being supported, such as the balance sheet, cash flow report, and asset or inventory reporting.
- Review the monthly or ad-hoc performance of the department or business unit being
supported, in conjunction with a Financial Analyst, taking responsibility for the accounting
elements and causal factor analysis of the performance against Budget and/or Prior Periods.
- Provide assistance to the annual or ad-hoc planning, budgeting and forecasting exercises, for
departments or business units being supported, in conjunction with the Financial Analysts.
- Provide strong historical financial (information) support to the Financial Analysts, or to the
departments or business units being supported, for use in financial presentations at all levels.
- Contribute accounting knowledge to the financial components of ad-hoc projects within the
departments or business units being supported.
- Ensure adequate controls to ensure accuracy and completeness of deliverables i.e. ; Annual
Budgets, Five years Planning, Rolling and rolling forecast
- Completion of ad hoc projects and reports required by direct report, CFO, Heads of
Departments and the Executive Management.
- Business specific these areas include the Commercial functions that is Strategy and Selling
and Marketing business units and the support and administration functions of the business
which includes Finance, Human Resources (HR), Information Technology IT), Public Relations
(PR), Legal/Executive, government and international relations (IIGA), Customer Experience.
The only operational area included in this category is the Inflight Services which provides the
meals and the inflight entertainment served on board the aircraft and is driven by passenger
numbers and number of sectors.
- Strategy – this area looks after all the revenue generated by the company.
Understanding the various revenue line items is critical to interpret the causal factors.
- Selling & marketing – this area looks after cost of sales for the business and is driven
by the bookings/passengers/channel type and the regions. A key component is
advertising and marketing costs by the various regional sales teams.
- Finance – critical area in Finance costs is costs of hedging and the impact forex
exposure on the business.
- Other Business Support departments – this area looks at all admin related costs to the
business. Understanding the different business support areas is critical in determining
all costs incurred.

Financial Services Manager

Summary:
The Financial Services (FS)is responsible for the transactional accounting functions, including
revenue accounting, payments, payroll, and banking. FS will ensure that services provided are
robust, compliant and customer focused.
Responsibilities
Transactional Finance
- Provide leadership, strategic direction and vision to teams that deliver:
- Revenue Accounting: on-time, efficient and effective processing of passenger, freight and
accounts receivable revenue data in the companys systems
- Payments: amounts owed to third parties are correctly recorded, accounted for, approved
and paid within agreed time limits
- Payroll: (excluding management & executive pay) ensuring that staff are paid accurately and
on time, after PAYE, FNPF and any other relevant deductions
- Banking: bank payment transfers, cheque issues and all cash and bank receipts
- Appropriately supported balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring completeness, accuracy
and timeliness
- Resolution of internal/external customer queries in a timely and professional manner
Change Agenda
- Drive transformational change, continuous improvement initiatives and service excellence in
revenue accounting, payments management, payroll, and transactional banking.
- Provide strategic input to system reviews, updates and upgrades.

Treasury Manager

Summary:
This role plays a key role across the organisation and in strategic transactions, leading a strong
treasury team. The role manages Group reporting and treasury and is responsible for corporate
liquidity, investments, and risk management related to the company's financial activities.
Supporting a growth agenda, the role has responsibility for funding decisions across all strategic
business development transactions, as well as board reporting and relationship development
responsibilities for investments in key assets. Critical to the success of this role is developing
strategies to foster relationships with a range of internal and external stakeholders.
Key Outputs:-
Treasury
- Leads and supports the Treasury function to ensure maximum returns to the Groups cash
position, specifically:
- Forecast cash flow positions, related borrowing needs, and funds available for investment
- Ensure that sufficient funds are available to meet ongoing operational and capital investment
requirements
- Use hedging to mitigate financial risks related to the interest rates on the company's
borrowings, as well as on its foreign exchange positions
- Maintain banking relationships
- Maintain credit rating agency relationships
- Arrange for equity financing and debt financing
- Invest funds
- Invest pension funds
- Monitor the activities of third parties handling outsourced treasury functions on behalf of the
company
- Advise management on the liquidity aspects of its short- and long-range planning

treasury activities
