Purpose of the Role:
Responsible for maintenance and repair operations of the plant and machineries. This includes ensuring that the company's assets are maintained to the highest standards, ensuring that they are functioning efficiently, and ensuring that the company's production processes are not disrupted.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute the maintenance plan as per direction.
- Responsible for day-to-day maintenance activities, ensuring efficient and safe operation.
- Manage and lead a team of maintenance technicians and engineers.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Develop and manage budgets for maintenance operations.
- Plan and coordinate maintenance shutdowns and outages.
- Develop and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance maintenance processes.
- Monitor equipment performance/health and identify areas for improvement/replacement.
- Foster relationships with suppliers and contractors to ensure timely delivery of maintenance services/spares.
- Provide technical support and advice to other departments.
- Provide engineering solutions to persistent issues through root cause analysis
- Achieve fixed cost targets for the Utility Department.
- Schedule and manage maintenance for the main water line, pumps, HT/LT DG sets, diesel engines, sewage treatment plants, and sewage booster systems ect.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide effective solutions.
Competencies:
- Work experience in Plant is must.
- Strong knowledge of engineering, manufacturing and maintenance processes.
- Hands-on experience with various engineering machinery and equipment.
- Familiarity with quality control and inspection procedures.
- Good understanding of electrical, mechanical and hydraulic systems.
- Ability to diagnose and resolve technical problems in a timely manner.
- Knowledge of safety standards and regulations.
- Good communication skills to effectively convey technical information to technical and non- technical personnel
Qualification and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree/Master's in Mechanical Engineering/electrical engineering.
- At least 7 to 10 years of experience in maintenance management in a FMCG manufacturing / engineering manufacturing company.
