Port Manager

Job description:

As a port manager you are responsible for the overall management and operational efficiency of our port facilities. You play a crucial role in coordinating daily activities and ensuring that the port operates safely, efficiently and profitably.

Main responsibilities:

• Proactive and timely approach to day to day enquiries from agents.
• Develop, review & improve procedures associated with the port operations.
• Provide the highest levels of customer service at all times.
• Manage all on site assets effectively and the running thereof.
• Oversee and coordinate daily port operations.
• Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
• Optimize operational processes to improve efficiency and productivity.
• Personnel management, including recruitment, training and development.
• Prepare and manage operational budgets. Job Requirements:
• Maintaining relationships with customers, suppliers and other stakeholders.
• Monitor port performance and report to senior management.
• Implementing innovative solutions to improve port operations.

Job Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in logistics, shipping management or a related field.

At least 5 years of experience in port management or a similar managerial role.

Excellent knowledge of port and shipping activities.

Strong leadership and communication skills .

Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations .

Fluent in English.
