Logistics & Transport Manager for CMGA Company, Senegal

We are looking for a reliable and experienced Logistics & Transport Manager to manage and oversee the transportation operations of our company. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating and controlling the movement of delivery vehicles, ensuring timely and cost-effective transportation of goods, and maintaining compliance with safety and legal requirements.

Role & responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and monitor all transport operations to ensure timely and efficient delivery of goods.
• Manage transport schedules and route planning to maximize productivity and minimize costs.
• Supervise and liaise with drivers, ensuring compliance with company policies and transport regulations.
• Monitor vehicle maintenance, ensuring that all vehicles are in good working condition and meet safety standards.
• Ensure accurate documentation of transport activities, including deliveries, mileage, and fuel usage.
• Address and resolve any transport-related issues or delays in a timely manner.
• Assure GPS and fuel trackers are functional on all the vehicles .
• Collaborate with other departments, such as warehouse and procurement, to ensure seamless coordination of goods movement.

Preferred candidate profile

• Proven experience as a Transport Controller, Transport Manager, or in a similar role.
• Strong understanding of transport regulations, safety standards, and fleet management.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Proficient in transport management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to handle pressure, prioritize tasks, and meet tight deadlines.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience in gps tracking platforms and apps as well as tracker installation.
• Fluent English mandatory, basic French is a plus.
• Bachelor's degree or higher in Transport Management, Logistics, or a related field.
• Experience in route planning, fleet management, and cost & time optimization.
• Certification in transport or logistics management is a plus.
