Job Description:


As a Procurement Executive within our company, you will play a crucial role in managing the procurement process to ensure the timely acquisition of materials and services necessary for our operations. This role demands strong attention to detail, negotiation skills, and the ability to maintain positive vendor relationships while adhering to company policies and budgetary constraints.


Key Responsibilities:

  1. Vendor Management:
    • Identify and assess potential vendors, negotiate contracts, and maintain positive relationships to ensure timely and cost-effective procurement of goods and services.
    • Evaluate vendor performance regularly to ensure adherence to quality standards, delivery schedules, and contractual agreements.
    • Resolve any vendor-related issues promptly to minimize disruptions to production processes.
  2. Purchase Order Management:
    • Generate purchase orders accurately based on inventory requirements, production schedules, and budgetary constraints.
    • Track purchase orders to ensure timely delivery of materials and services, communicating any delays or discrepancies to relevant stakeholders.
  3. Inventory Management:
    • Collaborate with the inventory management team to maintain optimal inventory levels, minimizing excess stock while ensuring continuity of production.
    • Conduct regular inventory audits to reconcile physical stock levels with electronic records and identify areas for improvement.
  4. Cost Analysis and Budgeting:
    • Analyse pricing trends, negotiate competitive rates and identify opportunities for cost savings without compromising quality.
    • Assist in the development and management of procurement budgets, ensuring alignment with company objectives and financial targets.
  5. Compliance and Documentation:
    • Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and ethical standards throughout the procurement process.
    • Maintain accurate records of procurement activities, including contracts, purchase orders, invoices, and vendor communications.
  6. Continuous Improvement:
    • Proactively identify opportunities to streamline procurement processes, improve efficiency, and enhance overall departmental performance.
    • Stay updated on industry trends, market conditions, and best practices in procurement to drive innovation and maintain a competitive edge.

Qualifications and Skills:


1. Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.

  1. Minimum of 1 year of experience in procurement, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
  2. Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  3. Proficiency in procurement software and MS Office applications, particularly Excel.
  4. Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  5. Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  6. Knowledge of procurement best practices, supply chain management principles, and relevant regulations.
