Foundry Supervisor for Bulgaria (Europe)

Job Summary: The Foundry Supervisor oversees daily operations in the foundry, ensuring efficient production, high-quality castings, and adherence to safety standards. This role involves managing staff, maintaining equipment, and optimizing processes.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise Production: Oversee daily foundry operations, including casting, molding, and finishing processes to ensure production schedules are met and quality standards are maintained.
  • Manage Staff: Direct, train, and evaluate foundry personnel, assigning tasks, and fostering a productive and safe work environment.
  • Ensure Quality: Monitor and inspect castings for defects and ensure they meet specifications. Implement and enforce quality control procedures.
  • Maintain Safety: Enforce safety regulations and protocols to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment. Conduct safety training and ensure compliance with health and safety standards.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Oversee the maintenance and operation of foundry equipment. Coordinate repairs and ensure equipment is functioning efficiently.
  • Optimize Processes: Identify opportunities for process improvements to enhance productivity, reduce costs, and increase operational efficiency.
  • Manage Resources: Handle inventory of raw materials, tools, and supplies. Manage the budget for materials and ensure cost-effective use of resources.
  • Problem-Solve: Address and resolve operational issues, equipment malfunctions, and other challenges promptly.
  • Report and Collaborate: Prepare and present production reports, safety updates, and other relevant information to management. Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth operations.


Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in a foundry or manufacturing environment.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Knowledge of foundry processes, equipment, and materials.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.
  • Familiarity with safety regulations and quality control procedures.
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to work well with cross-functional teams.


Education and Experience:

  • Relevant degree or certification (Mechanical preferred)
  • 7 to 10 years of experience in a supervisory role within a foundry or similar setting
