Shan Poornam is the 1st Prescribed Premise licensed by DOE to manage metal chips and articles contaminated with spent coolant under Schedule Waste Code 422

Reports To : - Director of Copper Plant

Basic Job Functions:

• Plan, Organize and control all maintenance works within the company to ensure that plant and equipment is maintained to the required standards of quality and availability.
• Monitor the maintenance budget to ensure that all costs are kept within the agreed limits.
• Must able to supervise furnace refractory & electrical/automation related maintenance job.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities

• Maintain a regular liaison with other functions to ensure that plant and equipment is available to meet operational requirements.
• Annual maintenance budget preparation, inventory control & spare parts management.
• Maintains inventories of maintenance material, supplies and repair parts at required levels by initiating requisitions for purchase; periodically reviews inventory for proper upkeep at plant facilities.
• Planning & execution of breakdown & shutdown maintenance job
• Develop preventive maintenance schedule for plant, machinery and equipment to ensure that these continue to operate at optimum levels.
• Plan a preventive maintenance schedule and ensure that all necessary maintenance is carried out at the appropriate time.
• Monitor the plant operation schedule and equipment and revise maintenance schedule as necessary to ensure their continued effective performance.
• Supervise and train all maintenance staff to ensure that they carry out their duties effectively and maintain effectively working relationships.
• Monitor all maintenance work to ensure that it complies with all health and safety requirements.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all plant and equipment and identify and resolve any issue relating to maintenance procedures, plant or equipment.
• Regularly review all working practices, procedures and equipment to ensure that they are the most efficient and effective available.
• Maintain knowledge of new developments in maintenance practices and procedures to ensure that there is continues improvements in maintenance standards.
• Knowledge in maintaining or understanding on ISO /OEE /CLIT will be an additional advantage. Analyze equipment downtime data and develop & manage a process that will drive OEM uptime and lower costs.
• Understand and/or perform CA (Criticality Analysis), Root-cause and Root-Cause Failure Analysis (RCA, RCFA).
• Must fulfill all government regulatory & statutory requirements.
• Excellent computer and data analysis skills. must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS project and Outlook. SAP experience a plus.
  
  

Experience:

• Minimum 10 years related working experience in Metal industry.
• Added advantage if worked in copper industry.

Education:

• Minimum Bachelor Degree or Masters in Mechanical Engineering

Functional Skills:

• Must have experience in maintenance of TSL furnace, anode furnace, pneumatic feeding system, belt conveyor, screw feeder, ID fan, compressor, cooling tower, pumps, crusher & basic knowledge of hydraulics.

• Good knowledge of modern maintenance techniques
