Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced IT Engineer with a strong background in Cisco networking, Fortinet security solutions, and Linux systems administration. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of relevant experience, preferably within the telecommunication industry. This role involves maintaining and optimizing our network infrastructure, ensuring robust security measures, and managing Linux-based systems to support our operations.

Key Responsibilities

Network Administration:

• Design, implement, and manage Cisco-based network infrastructure.
• Monitor network performance and troubleshoot network issues to ensure optimal performance.
• Configure and maintain routing and switching protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP).

Security Management:

Implement and manage Fortinet firewalls and security appliances.

• Conduct regular security assessments and vulnerability scans.
• Develop and enforce network security policies and procedures.

Linux Systems Administration:

• Install, configure, and maintain Linux servers and applications.
• Perform system updates, patches, and regular maintenance.
• Monitor system performance and ensure high availability.

Telecommunication Support:

• Collaborate with the telecommunications team to support network and infrastructure projects.
• Provide technical support for telecommunication systems and services.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 3-5 years of experience in IT engineering, with a focus on networking, security, and Linux systems.
• Proficiency with Cisco networking technologies (CCNA/CCNP certification preferred).
• Strong experience with Fortinet security solutions (FortiGate, FortiAnalyzer).
• Solid knowledge of Linux operating systems (Red Hat, CentOS, Ubuntu).
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in the telecommunications industry.
• Advanced certifications (CCIE, Fortinet NSE, Red Hat Certified Engineer).
• Familiarity with VoIP technologies and telecommunication protocols.
• Experience with network automation tools and scripting languages (Python, Bash).
