Responsibilities
Assist in the procurement of Direct & Indirect material for the plant
Be responsible for the data quality and accuracy in the procurement information system (ERP)
Assist the Purchasing Managers in implementing purchasing strategy based on facts and figures
Ensure accuracy of purchasing data, reports and KPIs
Ensure DORMA purchasing procedures for employees and suppliers are adhered to
Monitor shipment from supply base to warehouse to ensure that customers’ requirements are met
Update daily delivery records, vendors information and re-schedule delivery when there are changes
Support in vendor selection, development & management
Support resolving of quality issues and supplier performance improvement measurement
Maintain good relationship with existing suppliers; select suppliers and negotiate for the best price
Responsible for On Time Delivery
Essential Requirements & Skill Sets
Bachelor degree or similar
Preferred qualification – professional purchasing
Minimum of 3 years of experience as a buyer in construction field.
SAP experience is mandatory.
Strong negotiation and influencing skills
Good understanding of Budgets, local regulations relevant to DORMA business
Excellent English speaking skills
