We have an opening for the position of Control System Engineer with one of the Operating Oil & Gas Company in Iraq.
Position: Control System Engineer
Job Location : Halfaya -Iraq

This will be for the Production department based in Iraq on a 28/28 rotation.
Should have 18 months passport validity and not more than 1 month notice period.
The average basic salary for the positions would be around USD 5400 – 6,400 per month plus 70% of the basic salary per day for overseas allowance which is payable on work rotation days only.
• Bachelor degree in Instrumentation or Electrical.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in Control System Design and Development of Maintenance of DCS automation from Oil & Gas industry or control system manufacturer.
• Experience in Troubleshooting, Root Cause Analysis, Health Checks, PM and Corrective Mainatenance.
• Experience in Crude CPF / Onshore.
• Thorough experience of DCS, ESD, F&G, PLC, SCADA, RTU, field instrumentations, with ABB, ICS Triplex, Siemens , Rockwell Motorola or Emersion any of this.
Job Description
Effective involvement in in-house consultancy service on all matters related to instrumentation and control engineering system services for projects and plant modifications.
Carry out related studies and conceptual design activities handled in-house or by consultants. Thus ensurinq safe, economic and technically sound decisions are taken to meet Company's requirements. Ensure the quality work of consultants/contractors during design, engineering and installation phases to ensure efficient and economic feasibility of proposed work.
Development of the annual instrument engineering operating (OPEX) and capital
(CAPEX) budgets for CPF/GPP/PP facilities.
Maintenance of Control Systems, Spares, Tools. Software and all the Tools for assigned plants .:
Ensures that all activities under his control comply with the Company Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) policies and procedures, and that these are fully implemented and adhered to, so that Loss Prevention is maximized.
Development of National staff through a structured development and training program.
Ensures for all activities under his control that the Company Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) policies and procedures are fully implemented and adhered to, so that Loss Prevention is maximized.
Undertake Maintenance Jobs and Troubleshooting jobs on demand.
Implement proposals for instrumentation control requirements of assigned projects in conjunction with production operations personnel and in accordance with modern practices and techniques. Includes liaising with appropriate production department sections to obtain information regarding necessary operational requirements.
Review of proposals for the provision of engineering services submitted by contractors to ensure adequate coverage of scope of work, and participates in the evaluation of contractor's organization and personnel prior to project award. Review of contractors design procedures, coordination procedures, standards and organization to ensure compliance with commitments.
Review of contractors proposed control system to ensure good operability, reliability, safety, efficiency and ease of startup and maintenance. Includes detailed evaluation of control loops and interlocks.
Familiarization with the Plant Control Assignments, Spare Parts Inventories and managements.
Up keeping the Change Management Records, Maintains the User Program Revisions, maintaining System History, Carries out Program, Data backup periodically.
Carries out other similar or related duties such as advising on necessary testing and witnesses factory acceptance tests, as required, prior to shipment of equipment, providing assistance, as required, during installation, pre-commissioning and start up of facilities. preparing reports, advising on all instrumentation applications to management as required.
Ensures the development of National staff through a structured development and training program.
