• Maintains the stores in a logical and orderly fashion to ensure speedy requisition of items and facilitate ease of stock counts.
• Checks and verifies goods received for accuracy.
• Completes non-conformance reports regarding any defective, damaged, shortness, delayed delivery, etc. of supplies.
• On receipt of Store Requisition Voucher, verify availability of goods – if not available, forward to Purchases in Charge – if available, issue with stock issue voucher.
• Keeps updated with information on stocks in stock cards and computer.
• Keeps monthly report of spare parts’ and consumables’ consumption and balance / distribute according to company policies and procedures.
• Manages the performance of direct reporters, including their performance evaluation and feedback as required.
• Develop direct reporters with the recording of clearly identified training needs and training rendered.
• Perform any other tasks reasonably delegated by the superiors from time to time.


Purpose of the position: The purpose of this position is to support the operational activities of the Stores maintaining the in and flow of material to the stores. 

Scope: Under the direction of the Asst. Materials Manager, the Stores Officer is accountable for maintaining minimum stock levels, while also keeping stock counts. The Stores Officer, as a stores keeper, must maintain clean and systematic stores. The aforementioned shall ensure internal customer satisfaction and employee satisfaction and development, while also ensuring accurate and timely completion of reports.

Duties and Responsibilities: The major responsibilities and target accomplishments expected of the position are as follows –

The incumbent must have the following knowledge, skills and abilities:

Education: Degree in Business or Commerce

Experience: 3-5 years experience in a warehouse/store, where 2 years in a supervisory position.

Other: Exposure to Oracle ERP system and warehouse management systems. Flexibility with individual schedule as business needs warrant. This position requires strong time management, multi tasking and organizational skills. Must have demonstrated leadership ability. Good decision making skills, and understanding of production processes, standards, ISO and other quality standards. Computer literate.

Work Environment and Physical Demands:

1. Must be able to work in rotating shifts, days, evenings, and nights. Work week is six days per week, 48 hours of regularly scheduled hours.
2. Primarily an office environment.
3. Required to observe all safety and health requirements for office environment.
