Position : " Draughtsman "
Location : Dubai
Salary : DHS 2000 - 2300

Scope : Duties include understanding the docking plans and relevant drawings. Highlighting the priority of the vessels in the docks coordinating with Marine. Docks, Drivers and Ship Repair Manager.
Preferred Competencies :
Preferably a graduate in Naval Architecture.
Computer Proficient with AUTO CAD Experience.
Working experience as Docking Planner in a major shipyard preferred.
Responsible for:
Prepare drawings. sketches and calculations of ship stability and ballast condition.
Review and monitor the required plans of vessels scheduled for dry docking.
Responsible for guiding and providing technical information about the ship to be docked.
Operate Computer aided (Auto cad) software for drafting the preliminary and final drawings. Operate reproduction equipment / machine. such as blue printing machine. plotters and printers.
Coordinate with various department, shops and subcontractors, to ensure the safety of docking the vessesl.
Conduct drydock inspection, after the vessel is docked and monitor ship repair site.
Plan effectively to minimize the transfer of dock blocks from one dock to another.
Ensure that the Safety, Quality & Environment requirements of the yard are strictly followed.
Perform other job related duties as assigned by the section head.
