Position Overview Strategic IT planning and management of all the Centre’s IT services and infrastructure
Assisting in the delivery of successful events through relevant and functioning IT solutions for the venue and clients

Developing, maintaining and facilitating the implementation of a sound and integrated IT framework.
Manage the voice and data systems to ensure latest software releases and functionality. 
Manage the utilization of major hardware and software to ensure that the organization receives maximum performance from its systems.
Manage and implement strategies which establish security and access protocols for the organization in web and email utilization.
Manage lease and service agreements if any with vendors and manage the performance of vendors with respect to the maintenance and supply of equipment and service.
Manage the Asset Register for all leased equipment and conduct scheduled reconciliation for the purpose of financial control and accountability. 
Identify opportunities to reduce operating costs through cost effective technologies/outsourcing and develop business case submissions to support these.
Manage a capital and operational budget for IT
Manage the scope of and prioritize capital projects in IT for all divisions and identify least cost/highest quality option for delivering client solutions. 
Manage the specification requirements process for new and required updates to systems and equipment/devices in consultation with system owners e.g. Point of Sale, HR Information System, Event Management System etc 
Oversee the implementation of all projects in IT.
Arrange for quotations on new equipment in line with procurement procedures

Minimum 5 years recent experience in a similar role.
Extensive leadership and senior management experience.
Developed skills including strategic planning, organizational development and resource management.
High level understanding of IT business environment, including strong knowledge of IT developments, industry standards, trends and future strategic direction
Strong negotiation, communication, analytical and problem solving skills 
Strong IT project management and change management experience including ability to manage multiple IT projects with competing time frames 
Extensive financial management experience: ability to manage an operational and capital IT budget
Ability to manage a range of competing activities in a demanding IT environment being both operationally hands on and planning ahead.
Preparedness for department to be on-call 24 hours seven days per week
