Project Manager


JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Overall Responsible for the construction project from start to finish.

2. To ensure completion of the Project in time. 

3. To ensure compliance with quality specification and ISO procedures.

4. To ensure cost compliance within budget and improved margins.

5. To maintain Good Customer Relations. 

6. To maintain good relations with local bodies and surrounding community.

7. To facilitate planning engineer to prepare schedule. 

8. Managing of all consultants appointed to the project by the Client.

9. Managing of the project team departments, this includes the supervision of all Managers, Engineers, and support personnel for implementation of planning and project management during pre-construction and construction.

10. Manage the construction works in terms of Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) and Quality Assurance / Quality Control (QA/QC).

11. Project accounting functions including managing the budget, tracking if team expenses and minimizing exposure and risk in the project

12. To submit schedule to Client and Consultants and get approval. 

13. To facilitate material Procurement schedule, manpower and machinery requirement with Planning Engineer. 

14. To use innovative techniques based on value engineering concepts. Timely submission of invoice and collections of payments from Clients. To ensure timely submission of bills in ERP and payments to Contractors and Vendors.

15. To ensure implementation as per accepted schedule.

16. To ensure proper contractual documentation and correspondence.

17. To maintain records of delays and getting time extension from client if required. 

18. To plan manpower requirement and obtain sanction.

19. Create the teams, develop the objectives/goals of each and assign individual responsibilities.

Qualification & Experience -

1. B.E/B.Tech (Civil) (Full time) with 20-25 years of experience in construction industry.

2. Candidate must have working experience on Universities / Educational institutes/ High-rise buildings / Commercial projects from inception to completion.

3. Must have worked for large scale projects with main contracting company. Previous experience in gulf is MUST.

Construction Manager

• Project Completion on time and within the budget.
• Maintain productive relationship with the external stakeholders at site.
• Ensure motivation, retention and development of team. 
• Ensure Compliance to ISO procedures, Quality requirements and Safety Standards.
• Continuously improve work practices, resources productivity, and efficiency.
• Study the drawings / site, Plan the activities, schedule bar charts jointly with planning manager.
• Identify resource requirement – Machinery, Manpower, Material etc jointly with Planning Manager.
• Indent for construction material and give requirement of other resources as per the schedule.
• Mobilize the site as per contract requirements.
• Day to day monitoring of the site as per the schedule and priorities.
• To ensure proper allocation of manpower, materials and machinery.
• Monitoring the utilization of resources and reduce cost wastage.
• Conduct progress reviews daily and weekly.
• Take necessary corrective actions.
• Providing timely data to billing and planning engineers regarding extra items, joint measurements, holds, additions and alterations etc.
• Timely communicating items debatable to sub agencies to the concerned HODs
• Identifying and attend the snag points and handing over. 
• Proactive communication with client representative on day to day progress and issues.
• Ensuring timely preparation and submission of bills of sub agencies. 
• Ensuring that only authorized sub agencies having valid work orders are engaged on site.
• Facilitate attention towards welfare of sub agencies and their workforce. 
• Proper co-ordination with other agencies engaged by the client.
• Ensure quality work as per contract specifications and client satisfaction.
• Inspect and ensure good housekeeping in line with safety checklists. 
• Close NCs pertaining to site and keep control on defect occurrences. 
• Documenting learning’s from the recent project and identifies areas of improvement.
• Take necessary steps to avoid recurrence of similar problems.
• Make recommendations for improved methods and procedures.

Manager - MEP / Services

1. Planning, scheduling and Management of MEP projects within budgets Design knowledge 
2. Preparation / review of material submittals and design / shop drawings Vendor assessment, bid evaluation, sub contractor selection and procurement of materials.
3. Coordinate, manage and optimize resources both material and manpower Monitor, identify, analyze and control all project costs.
4. Issuing instruction to Electrical, Plumbing & HVAC Engineer and MEP subcontractors to complete work in accordance with programme requirement.
5. Coordinating meeting with MEP Coordinator and subcontractors to organize work on day to day, week to week basis .
6. Ensure successful achievement of project mission statement and goals.
7. Follow up with various departments within company in all project related matters of the project operation.
8. Ensure a successful completion of the project within the budget and on time.
9. Responsible for all contractual issues related to the day to day running of the project.
10. To evaluate the requirements of all project resources (materials, machinery, manpower) as per schedule and arrange for the availability of the same.
11. Ensure timely submittal of all project submittals and obtaining approval.

1. B.E / B.Tech (Mechanical/ Electrical) Engineering or equivalent.
2. 15-20 years experience in academic, educational institutes, university projects/ Multistory high rise buildings
3. Previous experience in gulf is MUST

MANAGER - PURCHASE

1. Overall responsible for the procurement of materials and proprietary parts for all sites, plant yard, departments at the most competitive terms considering price, delivery and quality of the product.
2. Overall responsibility for all procurement for sites, plant yard & other departments.
3. Responsible for arranging LPO’s for materials and negotiating with approved suppliers for supply quality materials.
4. Responsible for the review of new supplier’s particulars and suitability, approval/rejection as per company quality system requirements.
5. Co-ordinate with Project Manager / Operations Head for the material requirements, verification & assure timely delivery as required.
6. Deal with suppliers for the delivery of defective / non-conforming materials and arrange for replacement of the same.
7. Monitor the performance of the approved suppliers and ensure receiving quality material as per requirement and company approved list.
8. Responsible for checking all materials are receiving according to the material requirement and LPO.
9. Responsible for ensuring to preparing / maintaining purchase records of fixed assets, LPO’s, Plant & Machinery along with quotations and comparison statements.
10. Maintain material document library to ensure the availability of technical catalogue/specifications, verification details, material approved certificates, material traceability etc. as and when required.
11. Responsible for checking and reviewing of all pricing and sourcing done for plant purchasers.

1. B.E / B.Tech (Civil / Mechanical) with 15 -20 years of experience in civil Procurements of engineering & electrical equipment, vendor Management/development, material purchase, planning managing procurement, strategic sourcing. 
2. Previous experience in gulf is MUST. 
3. Candidate should be construction industry

MANAGER - SAFETY

• Responsible for ensuring that Health and Safety initiatives as documented in Company Safety Standards, International Safety Codes and those proposed by the Government are adhered to by all SP staff, workers and operatives on site.
• Responsible for the introduction of all documented health, safety and environmental initiatives raised by SP in accordance with the Company’s Mission Statement and corporate requirements.
•Provides all necessary training to individual site Safety Officers (train the trainers) in HSE issues and follow up on a continued basis at all SP sites to ensure a consistent application and approach to site safety.
• Manages the activities of appointed Site Safety staff to ensure a consistent and apposite application of safety standards across all SP sites.
• Responsible for formulating, managing and conducting all new worker & staff safety inductions and for ensuring suitable up-dates and HS&E refresher courses are provided as required.
• Arranges and conducts periodic training sessions for SP staff in site safety (and environmental protection) and provides all up-date Procedures to various Heads of Department/Construction Sites.
• Responsible for ensuring the Company HSE Procedures are rigorously applied and fully implemented.
• Jointly responsible with a site’s Construction Manager and Site Safety Officer for defining the schedule of HS&E “Tool Box Talks” to be given throughout a period of 6 months on each site.
• Provides the necessary management and guidance to all site safety Managers in respect of HSE procedures, activities, training, punitive action in the case of repeated safety violations by individual site staff or by their Supervisors and Managers.
• Responsible for all necessary safe working records, accident statistics and Key Performance Indicators documenting the goal of continuous improvement in safety at work.
• Provides monthly Safety Audit Report to Higher Management. 
• Responsible for recording, documenting and reporting on the expenditure requirement and budgetary allocations for implementing the SPML HS&E policy on site.
• Responsible for arranging and implementing internal HS&E audits and for providing impartial reports on the findings.
• Directly responsible for receiving, assimilating and arranging for the Company’s compliance with any new Statutory HS&E directive issued by either the Government, the Municipality or a Client’s overseeing representative at site. 
• Ensures that all Sub-contractors working under SP adheres to the statutory HSE requirements and those of implemented by SP.

1. Degree holder in Civil / Mechanical/ Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
2. 15-20 years experience in HSE, preferably from Construction industry
3. Previous experience in gulf is MUST
