Technical Services Manager


The Technical Services Manager will be responsible for the following key responsibilities:

  • Effectively administering and directing the Technical Services Department; ensuring the competence of the Technical Service Group by establishing and maintaining a programme of initial and continuation training and by review of their completed work.
  • Assessing airworthiness data received from all sources including the Regulators (CASA PNG, FAA, TC (Canada), and EASA), Aircraft and Powerplant Manufacturers and component OEMs.
  • Administration and control of aircraft technical specifications (Configuration Specification and the Maintenance Specification).
  • Providing appropriate instructions to ensure the embodiment of all applicable Airworthiness Directives and Service Bulletins.
  • Administration and control of the Engine Trend Monitoring and Component Reliability Programmes; Analysis and reporting of trend and reliability data.
  • Chairing the Technical Services Department Meeting and Modifications Meeting.
  • Participation in the On-Time Performance Meeting, Maintenance Planning Meeting, Weekly Workload Meeting, and the Managers Meeting.
  • Giving effect to the Corporate Safety Policy by applying safety management principles and required practices to all activities undertaken in the role.
  • Any other tasks assigned by General Manager CAMG
  • To be considered, you must have the relevant qualifications with previous experience in a similar role including having the following key attributes:
  • Experience in Aircraft Maintenance Planning
  • Experience and knowledge of Aircraft Maintenance documentation
  • Experience and knowledge of Life limited components and the tracking of these components
  • Knowledge of life limited Component Airworthiness Certification
  • Documentation assessment and auditing experience
  • Experience of Stores Procedures relating to the sending away and returning of components for servicing and the documents thereof.
  • High level of Computer literacy
  • Knowledge of PNG regulatory system
  • Must be physically fit & heathy



Technical Services Engineer - Avionics



The Technical Services Engineer - Avionics will be responsible for the following key responsibilities:

  • Ensuring company's compliance to CASA PNG, TC (Canada), FAA. EASA and CASA Australia requirements and regulations in the above mentioned areas of accountability.
  • Reviewing all state of design Airworthiness Directives as part of the weekly AD reviews and carrying out Maintenance Data Assessments.
  • Evaluating all Service Literature issued by Aircraft and equipment manufacturers in the areas of specific accountabilities and carrying out Maintenance Data Assessments as necessary.
  • Providing technical and troubleshooting expertise, conducting research and investigation in to maintenance defects to support the Maintenance Provider and the Continued Airworthiness Management Group. This includes, but is not limited to, failures, defects, repairs, parts, overhaul, modifications, sampling programs, preventative, and condition monitoring program.
  • Advising Flight Operations of changes, after modifications have been embodied, that affects operation of aircraft as well as assisting Flight Operations with operational matters in the area of accountability.
  • Carrying out technical and economic evaluation of proposed modifications, developing modifications if necessary, and making appropriate submissions for embodiment. Ensuring all follow up action relating to these accountabilities is actioned if modification incorporation is approved.
  • Evaluating the technical specifications of new equipment or processes and recommending those, which are suitable for approved use.
  • Providing assistance in the development and final acceptance of specifications for new aircraft to be introduced in to service.
  • Carrying out technical evaluation of airworthiness requirements and technical specifications and making appropriate recommendations for methods of compliance with the requirement and/or the suitability of the specifications.
  • Identifying, monitoring and analyzing defects and adverse trends in Maintenance findings and developing appropriate rectification action.
  • Liaising with approved outside engineering and maintenance support organizations, vendors and manufacturer in relation to airframe structural technical matters.
  • Maintaining affective liaison and communication with the various
  • Production, Quality Assurance, Technical Materials and planning groups in the promotion of harmonious relations on all matters affecting Technical Services support.
  • Assisting other Departments in the solution of the technical problems by acting in a research or advisory capacity when requested to do so by GM MRO.
  • Ensuring that before company initiated changes are made to the manufacturer's basic aircraft specifications (as contained in maintenance/overhaul, parts, operations or other Technical Manuals etc.) that all such changes are properly considered and can be shown to be technically correct.
  • Providing assistance to Continuing Airworthiness and MRO in relation to setting up and support of Information Systems used in the department.
  • Providing AOG assistance and technical advice to the 119 Maintenance Watch Department as required by Chapter 10 of the 119A/Vol 22 Continuing Airworthiness Management Manual
  • Providing back up for the TSE Reliability and the other Technical Services Engineers in their absence, as directed by the Technical Service Manager.
  • Giving effect to the Corporate Safety Policy by applying safety management principles and required practices to all activities undertaken in the role.
  • Carrying out any other tasks assigned by the Technical Services Manager and GM CAMG.

Key Performance Indicators KPI

  • To provide aircraft spec sheets and assessment reports when required.
  • To provide troubleshooting data and relevant information to assist maintenance in proper analysis of defects.
  • To provide a report on the trending defects and reliability issues for better maintenance tracking.
  • To provide technical backup for maintenance and technical team when required in AOG situations.
  • To assist in MPD, TLD and other controlled manual updates within 2 months of receipt.
  • To review and assess maintenance data for applicability and ordering of spares to implement these instructions.

To provide guidance material when required from Planners.

  • To be considered, you must have the relevant qualifications with previous experience in a similar role including having the following key attributes:
  • Preferably extensive experience in Aircraft Engineering and related environment with relevant formal qualifications.
  • General Airline experience with thorough knowledge in airline commercial/private operations.
  • Tertiary qualifications in related discipline(s) desirable but not essential.
  • The ability to proactively develop systems/products and procedures and ability to operate effectively in a multi-cultural environment.
  • The ability to provide advice to senior management team and the concerned key personnel on engineering matters and driving required changes


Junior Flight Analyst 


We are pleased to announce an open vacancy now exists in our Commercial Department for a qualified and experienced Junior Flight Analyst.

Based in Port Moresby, this position will report to the Flight Analyst and will assist in maximize an organization's revenue by analyzing and optimizing pricing, demand, and inventory management strategies.

The Flight Analyst will be responsible for the following key responsibilities:

  1. Data Analysis and Reporting

Flight Data Monitoring: Collect, process, and analyze flight data from distribution system and revenue accounting system.

Performance Analysis: Evaluate aircraft performance metrics, and identify trends and provide feedback.
