Junior Flight Analyst 


We are pleased to announce an open vacancy now exists in our Commercial Department for a qualified and experienced Junior Flight Analyst.

Based in Port Moresby, this position will report to the Flight Analyst and will assist in maximize an organization's revenue by analyzing and optimizing pricing, demand, and inventory management strategies.

The Flight Analyst will be responsible for the following key responsibilities:

  1. Data Analysis and Reporting

Flight Data Monitoring: Collect, process, and analyze flight data from distribution system and revenue accounting system.

Performance Analysis: Evaluate aircraft performance metrics, and identify trends and provide feedback.

  1. Reporting and Documentation

Report Generation: Prepare detailed reports and presentations on flight performance, for senior analysts and management.

Data Documentation: Maintain accurate records of flight data analysis, including methodologies, findings, and recommendations.

  1. Collaboration and Communication

Team Collaboration: Work closely with senior flight analysts, to gather necessary data and insights.

Stakeholder Communication: Communicate findings and recommendations to relevant stakeholders, including management.

  1. Inventory Management:
  • Manage seat inventory and allocation across different fare classes to optimize revenue potential.
  • To be considered, you must have the relevant qualifications with previous experience in a similar role including having the following key attributes:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, Aviation Management, or a related field.
  • Some experience in the airline industry, preferably in roles related to revenue management, pricing, or analytics.
  • Advanced skills in data analysis and statistical modeling, using tools like Excel, or other relevant software
  • Excellent communication skills to convey complex concepts to diverse stakeholders, including senior management, cross-functional teams, and external partners.
  • Ability to adapt to changing market conditions and implement innovative revenue management strategies.


Network Analyst 


  • The Network Analyst will be responsible for the following key responsibilities:
  • Route Planning and Optimization: Determine which routes to operate, when to operate them, and with what frequency based on market demand, profitability, and competition.
  • Fleet Management: Decide which aircraft to deploy on specific routes to ensure maximum efficiency in terms of fuel consumption, capacity, and operational costs.
  • Scheduling: Coordinate flight schedules to minimize delays, optimize turnaround times, and ensure efficient use of resources such as aircraft and crew.
  • Capacity Management: Adjust capacity on routes based on demand forecasts, ensuring the right balance between supply and demand to avoid underutilization or overbooking.
  • Cost Efficiency: Identify opportunities to reduce operational costs by optimizing routes, minimizing layover times, and improving resource utilization.
  • Customer Experience: Ensure the airlines network and schedules align with customer preferences, such as offering convenient connections and maintaining on-time performance.
  • Coordination with Alliances and Partners: Work with airline alliances or codeshare partners to expand the network and offer more destinations and seamless travel experiences for customers.Crisis Management:
  • Adapt the network quickly in response to unexpected events such as weather disruptions, geopolitical issues, or sudden changes in travel demand.
  • Pricing Strategies: develop and implement effective pricing strategies considering market conditions, competitor pricing, and demand patterns across all channels.
  • Analyze pricing data to identify opportunities for adjustments and optimization across all channels.
  • Execution of VRS fare filing and distribution of fares and fare changes. External fares filing in ATPCO and managing communication.
  • Manage and file wholesale fares and communicate to agents. Maintain changes in taxes and surcharge strategy and application for carrier in line with market dynamics across all channels.

Sales Manager



The Manager Sales will be responsible for the following key responsibilities:

Sales Strategy & Planning:

Develop and implement sales strategies to meet revenue targets.

Conduct market analysis to identify sales opportunities and trends.

Create detailed sales plans to penetrate new markets or increase share in existing ones.

Set goals for regional and local sales teams.

Client Relationship Management:

Build and maintain relationships with corporate clients, travel agencies, tour operators, and other sales partners.

Manage key accounts and provide personalized services to retain clients.

Negotiate sales agreements and partnerships to maximize ticket sales and revenue.

Team Leadership & Management:

Lead and motivate the sales team to achieve individual and team targets.

Train and develop sales personnel, providing regular feedback and coaching.

Assign tasks, manage performance, and ensure sales teams follow established strategies and guidelines.

Revenue Management & Reporting:

Monitor sales performance and revenue generation.

Analyze sales data, customer insights, and market performance to recommend corrective actions.

Prepare and present regular sales reports to senior management, highlighting progress and areas of improvement.

Pricing & Revenue Optimization:

Collaborate with the revenue management team to develop competitive pricing strategies.

Ensure pricing aligns with the airlines overall revenue goals and market conditions.

Promotions & Marketing Coordination:

Work closely with marketing teams to promote special offers, routes, and loyalty programs.

Assist in the planning and execution of advertising and promotional campaigns to increase visibility and sales.

Engage in public relations activities to boost the airline's reputation in the marketplace.

Contract & Agreement Management:

Oversee the negotiation and administration of contracts with key stakeholders such as corporate clients, travel agents, and distributors.

Ensure contracts align with the airlines revenue and legal standards.

Sales Channels Optimization:

Manage and optimize various sales channels including online, travel agents, corporate sales, and direct sales.

Implement strategies to increase efficiency and productivity across sales channels.

Strategic or Generic Skills:

Good mature leadership and team building skills, interpersonal, planning, communication and analytical skills

Technical Attributes:

Has experience in Sales & Marketing functions with added financial & business acumen.

Displays a sound understanding of corporate business objectives and plans including related operational policies and procedures and computerized systems.

Has good understanding of the development of budgets and the critical elements of a budget.

Personal Attributes:

The ability to proactively develop systems/products and procedures to streamline sales & marketing activities/functions.

The ability to provide advice to senior management team on sales & marketing matters, including systems/processes and procedures.

The ability to sense and maintain a high level of customer service and industry best

  1. Revenue Growth:

Target: Achieving or exceeding monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue targets.

Measurement: Total sales revenue generated versus the target. Tracked through internal financial reports.

  1. Market Share Growth:

Target: Increase in the airline's market share within the region or segment. The target will be set by as set by Senior Management.

Measurement: Capacity share comparing the airline's share against competitors.

  1. Sales Volume:

Target: Number of tickets sold or passengers transported. The target will be set by as set by Senior Management.

Measurement: Total number of tickets sold per channel or region, tracked through distribution systems.

  1. Client Acquisition & Retention:

Target: Acquisition of new corporate clients and retention of existing clients. The target will be set by as set by Senior Management.

Measurement: Number of new contracts signed, client retention rates, and renewal contracts.

  1. Sales Channel Performance:

Target: Optimization and Increase in the airline's market share of all sales channels (online, corporate, travel agencies, etc.) as set by Senior Management.

Measurement: Revenue share by channel, growth in online sales, and overall sales channel performance metrics.

  1. Sales Team Performance:

Target: Achievement of team targets and individual sales goals.

Measurement: Individual and team performance metrics tracked through CRM and internal reporting tools.

Qualifications and Experience:

Preferably 10 Years minimum experience sales and marketing field including 5 years in a management role(s) or Equivalent.

Sales, Tourism & Marketing Experience

Tertiary qualifications in related discipline(s) desirable but not essential
