REQUIREMENTS:
• BEng & MSc or MEng in structural or civil engineering
• 10-12 year’s engineering experience in the oil and gas industry
• Proven supervisory track record
• Planning & organizing skills
• Understanding of seismology and its effect on structures
• Experience of structural issues within high hazard installations
• To undertake and manage Civil & Structural engineering design work with full regard to Safety both in FEED and engineering design execution
• Good command of written and spoken English.
• Good technical knowledge and skills.
• Good Communication skills.
• Good optimization skills.
MAIN DUTIES:
• Receives allocated duties and reviews enquiry documentation from client together with Scope of Work to understand what is required. Raises queries where there is lack of clarity. Interfaces with other disciplines to ensure integration of activities.
• Creates drawings and document register to ensure all deliverables are accountable and completed on time.
• Prepares specifications, data sheets and undertakes calculations to meet requirements of allocated tasks.
• To lead multi-discipline engineering for major civil work packages.
• Ensure the civil design intent is maintained through the construction phase of the project, including applicable legislation, Quality, Environment, Safety and Health (HSE) requirements
• Prepares the PR, including the Bill of Materials; specifications; datasheets/drawings; inspection test requirements; and vendor data requirements.
• Undertakes technical evaluations of vendor offers for the more complex items to ensure PR’s technical details are satisfied.
• Undertakes pre-engineering site surveys in order to provide input information to facilitate detailed engineering.
• Provides reports on project progress against the approved plans and budgets, bringing to notice potential problems or delays and recommends solutions.
• Account management of the Design House construction support
• Manage, maintain & communicate the engineering work scope, planning and budget
• Supports Enquiries during bidding stage and prepares a complete technical input.
• Prepares material take-offs for Engineering Procurement and Construction (EPC) projects.
• Manage design review activities
