Job Description
• The role will involve overseeing projects including reinforced concrete structures, water proofing systems and wall and slabs shuttering.
• Overseeing civil works, earth movement, concrete buildings & structures, underground piping system (Potable water, drainage, firefighting water system, electrical bunk ducts etc.) 
• Analyze survey reports, maps, drawings, blueprints, aerial photography, and other topographical or geologic data to plan projects. 
• Inspect project sites to monitor progress and ensure conformance to design specifications and safety or sanitation standards. 
• Direct construction, operations, and maintenance activities at project site. 
• Direct or participate in surveying to lay out installations and establish reference points, grades and elevations to guide construction. 
• Estimate quantities and cost of materials, equipment, or labor to determine project feasibility. 
• Conduct studies of traffic patterns or environmental conditions to identify engineering problems and assess the potential impact of projects
• Act as the main technical adviser on a construction site for subcontractors, crafts people and 
• Setting out, leveling and surveying the site;
• Checking plans, drawings and quantities for accuracy of calculations;
• Ensuring that all materials used and work performed are as per specifications;
• Overseeing the selection and requisition of materials and plant;
• Liaising with any consultants, subcontractors, supervisors, planners, quantity surveyors and the general workforce involved in the project;
• Liaising with the local authority (where appropriate to the project) to ensure compliance with local construction regulations and by-laws;
• Day-to-day management of the site, including supervising and monitoring the site labor force and the work of any subcontractors;
• Planning the work and efficiently organizing the site facilities in order to meet agreed 
• Overseeing quality control and health and safety matters on site;
• Preparing reports as required;
• Resolving any unexpected technical difficulties and other problems that may arise.
• Liaising with company or project purchasing department to ensure that purchase orders adequately define the specified requirements
• Bachelor degree in Civil Engineering/Architect is a must. 
•Above 5 years’ experience in similar role in a construction Company in which minimum 2-3 years should by in Qatar/GCC. 
•Proficient in Microsoft office tools (Microsoft Word & Excel). Knowledge in AutoCAD will be highly appreciated. 
•Excellent communication skill in both written and spoken English 
•Must have integrity, initiative and be flexible and proactive. 
•Familiar with Gulf area projects 
•Experience in Road pavement works will be a plus. 
- Locally available candidate with transferable visa preferred.
