A leading agricultural company is actively looking for a Production Manager to be involved into the performance of a newly constructed sugar processing facility in West Africa.
This is an urgent requirement and the successful Production Manager must be ready to start a new position in Mid-August 2015.
The key responsibilities of the Production Manager will include:
• Management of the production team including the Shift Managers, offering training and motivating the workforce where needed.
• Control the production expenditure ensuring that operating and capital budgets are adhered to.
• Regular liaison with the Engineering Manger to ensure that all production machinery is well maintained and down time is kept to a minimum.
• Procure and purchase all process and maintenance materials.
• Manage the department in accordance with all appropriate food safety standards.
The successful Production Manager will have the following background:
• A degree in an Engineering, Food Production or Agricultural discipline is preferred.
• At least 5 – 10 years in a Production role, with proven management experience.
• Knowledge of Sugar Processing is a must.
• Previous experience in West Africa will be looked on favourably.
• Proven budgetary control experience.
