    KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS
    Educational and Technical Qualifications/ Certifications:
     
    High School Certification with applicable trade certificate

    Years and Nature of Experience: 
    More than 6 years of experience in similar role

    JOB PURPOSE 
    The role holder is responsible for supporting the contracting process including activities such as identification/compilation of tender requirements, preparation of tender documents, issue of tenders, evaluation and selection of bidders and monitoring the vendor performance etc. in order to support the smooth execution of day to day operations.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
    Core Responsibilities:
     
    -Assists in in all activities pertaining to tender and contract development as and when required for all directorates, departments and sections of Kahramaa
    -Prepares tender documents in coordination with Contract administrator to capture the specific requirements and ensure adherence to established guidelines
    -Supports the tendering activities including preparation and issuance of tender bulletins and clarifications to the bidders in liaison with the relevant technical team
    -Assists in technical evaluation of the bids submitted in liaison with relevant technical teams to ensure conformity to the specified technical, legal, contractual and other requirements
    -Assists incommercial evaluation of the bids of the technically accepted bidders in order to select the best value contractor 
    -Communicates with bidders on tender status i.e. sends letter of award to successful bidder and regret letters to unsuccessful bidders to facilitate collection of bid bond 
    -Assists in preparing the necessary documentation required to initiate the contract with selected bidder in line with established legal requirements 
    -Prepares and documents all necessary details regarding standard call-off contracts and price agreements
    -Maintains an updated database of all contracts and liaises with IT to enable the online monitoring of status reports for all active contracts
    -Coordinates with contractors regularly to ensure that they are performing their duties in line with the established agreement
    -Liaises with relevant technical and legal team for necessary corrective action to be taken against defaulting suppliers/ contractors
    -Liaises with the Finance team for release of payments to relevant contractors on approved invoices, post completion of work
    -Works in cooperation with Quality Assurance and Continual Improvement department on securing and maintaining the ISO 9002 certification
    -Carries out and ensures compliance of all activities within the Procurement and Supplier Management Section are in line with Kahramaa health and safety regulations

    Self-Management Responsibilities: 
    -Defines performance goals at the start of the year in discussion with the reporting manager and ensures that the goals are achieved during the course of the year
    -Identifies the training and development requirements for self and agrees on them with the reporting manager to ensure that the required trainings are arranged and attended
    -Keeps abreast of professional developments, new techniques and current issues through continued education and professional growth
