Director-IT:-
    IT Director is a crucial top management position within the Corporate Information Technology organization of a Tanzania based large conglomerate diversified into various businesses in Africa, Middle East & Asia. This position reports directly into the Chairman/CEO of the group and the primary function is to manage the corporate IT services organization based in Tanzania, Africa. 

    Responsibilities:-
    - Responsible for global IT Strategy, Infrastructure, Systems & Applications deployments for overall group companies and in ensuring smooth running of business operations with 100% systems up time.
    - Responsible for directing the Corporate IT services function according to globally established best standards, policies, and procedures supporting large user population of more than 3000 employees.
    - Responsible for smooth running of Helpdesk, Desktop support services, Application development & support services, SQL databases, LAN / WAN / WLAN Support, Information Security Administration, strategize, build & maintain Business Intelligence platforms, develop & address business reporting needs of the group in a timely manner.
    - Develop & maintain CEO Dashboards, Report cards, Score cards via supporting systems.
    - Develop and maintain Service Level Agreements in conjunction with top management and supported business departments for agreed upon levels of availability and performance.
    - Manage IT personnel responsible for diverse support functions and provide leadership & vision. Meet IT organizations planning requirements by interviewing, qualifying, hiring, and managing IT services personnel.
    - Responsible for the ordering, acquisition, inventorying, and disposition of hardware and software.
    - Budgetary planning, tracking, and reporting.
    - Ensures that policies and procedures, and supporting documentation for technology service practices are developed, reviewed, and updated in a timely manner.
    - Coordinate periodic IT control audits to support Chairmans & businesss objectives.
    - Must be a thought leader and provide day-to-day direction and leadership to IT support personnel to assure high levels of customer satisfaction.
    - Maintain a positive, closely aligned working relationship with business leadership & operations personnel across all locations.
    - Monitoring and reporting service performance levels vs. targets; incident tracking, handling, and reporting of key metrics. Ensures that SLAs and customer service objectives are maintained.
    - Manages IT initiatives including office moves, consolidations, and expansions; directs the IT organization through annual business continuity & disaster recovery tests. 

    Candidate profile:-
    Graduate in Computer Applications or Engineering or equivalent. MBA or equivalent is preferred.
    Total IT Industry experience anywhere between 20 to 25 years out of which, 10-15 years in IT leadership positions.
    Overseas experience especially in Dubai/Middle East, and/or East Africa is preferred.
    Must possess broad understanding of corporate IT concepts spanning infrastructure, networks and server architecture, business applications, database administration, business intelligence, information security, helpdesk, production operations support, Video Conferencing/Telepresence Infrastructure, and disaster recover / business continuity.
    Has thorough knowledge of latest technology implementations & developments in Microsoft environments and hands-on past experiences in related technologies and platforms such as Windows 2008/2012 Hyper-V Servers, SharePoint platform, MS Project, .Net, SQL Reporting Services, Business Intelligence platforms, Microsoft Exchange, Windows Operating Systems, Microsoft Office, Active Directory, Group Policies, Mobile applications for Android, Windows and Apple platforms.
    Experience in the management of software development teams in the areas of Web, Business Intelligence, database centric solutions & reporting.
    Must possess strong and impeccable written and verbal communication skills.
    Should be confident, presentable, knowledgeable and expert in conversation & interpersonal skills.
