Lead Automation Engineer
Based in Saudi Arabia (Camp Accommodation)
Single Status
Salary: 20,000 SAR – 22,000 SAR (per month) + Medical Insurance + 1 Flight Ticket (Per annum)
Minimum Requirements
12 year's engineering experience in the oil and gas industry.
Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Relevant Specialization)
Previous experience of working in Middle East is preferable but not essential
Strong communication skills
Responsibilities
Responsible for coordination of automation systems across the scopes of work to ensure seamless integration
Propose/review design solutions, prepare/review data sheets, perform/review bid evaluations and advise on the automation systems portion of work for new for the field development.
Work to review existing automation systems for adequacy of design. Perform detailed design of instrumentation/automation modifications, as required.
Work to ensure that the Company Management of Change and other risk management policies are maintained and that all work is carried out in accordance with departmental procedures.
Participate in interface meetings with onshore and offshore construction. Participate in design reviews, technical impact and/or review meetings with construction, development, production and other groups.
Maintain a complete record of technical items and correspondence to support design decisions and equipment selection, documenting all key automation systems engineering calculations.
Raise and discuss key and critical technical issues with the Phase 5 Engineering Manager to develop cost effective solutions, using best operating practice and current industry design criteria.
Lead Electrical Engineer

Responsibilities
Reporting on electrical engineering design and drafting progress to Study / Project Managers and the Engineering Manager on a weekly basis
Preparing and supervising engineering designs and calculations
Providing design input and information to draftsmen for the preparation of design drawings
Reviewing vendor certified documentation (drawings, data sheets, etc) and the dissemination of vendor information to Electrical Engineers and Designers.
Preparing engineering specifications, design basis and scopes of work.
Liaising with other disciplines leads as and when required in a proactive manner to ensure schedule is not compromised.
Providing professional guidance to subordinates in compliance with applicable Standards and Study or Project specific codes and standards through informal mentoring and response to identified errors
Project Controls Manager

Overall Project Control and Planning governance, working practices, procedures and management.
Management of a resource and cost loaded Baseline Plan, plan maintenance and period updates.
Earned Value Management including modelling, analysis and reporting
Lead on the production of the project reports inc performance analysis, budget monitoring and metrics generation
Support programme performance reviews and contract status reviews
Manage and mentor the Project Control and Planning team
Customer interface for Project Control and Planning including leading period reviews and acceptance of the Project Plan when required.

Develop and maintain man-hour budget, manpower requirements and project schedules based on project scope and procedure.
Establish drawing and design package requirements, project procedures, insofar as possible, continuity within all disciplines
Assigns work to Instrumentation & Controls personnel ensuring the best utilization of their knowledge and capabilities.
Maintains coordination and cooperation between all Instrumentation & Controls personnel under his supervision by working with the Instrumentation & Controls Department Manager to resolve discipline, personality conflicts, poor work habits, etc
Coordinates and cooperates with the Lead Designer, with Lead Engineers of other disciplines, and with the Project Engineer or Manager to ensure the smooth flow of vital information necessary for the scheduled completion of the design effort.
Informs the Instrumentation & Controls Department Manager and Project Manager to the time at which he (the Lead Engineer) is planning to take vacation leave so that a substitute may be assigned for that period.
