- MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB
To Able to carry out instructions given by Foreman/ Supervisor
JOB OBJECTIVES
1. Capable of selecting gear, such as cables, pulleys, and winches, according to load weight and size, facilities, and work schedule.
2. Fabricates and repairs rigging, such as slings, tackle, and ladders, using hand and power tools.
3. Assembly and installation of supporting structures, rigging, hoists, and pulling gear, using hand and power tools.
4. Using pulleys and blocks to fixed overhead structures, such as beams, ceilings, and gin pole booms with bolts and clamps.
5. Attaches load to rigging, to provide support or prepare for moving, using hand and power tools.
6. Signals or gives verbal directions to workers/ Crane Drivers engaged in hoisting and moving loads, to ensure safety of workers and materials.
7. Tests rigging, to ensure safety and reliability.
8. Dismantles, maintains, and stores rigging equipment.
9. Manipulates rigging lines, hoists, and pulling gear, to move or support materials, such as heavy equipment, ships, or theatrical sets.
10. Aligns, levels, and anchors machinery.
