- Salary range : 3.5-4 K SGD per month inclusive all allowances.
Provide Solaris and RedHat systems support to ensure high availability of IT systems.
Maintain IT systems and improve system management including but not limited to:
Perform system administration tasks on Solaris (primarily) and RedHat Systems (Secondary skill) and server hardware
Veritas cluster, storage foundation and netBackup knowledge and hands on experience.
Plan and perform system hardware and software maintenance, OS patches and security patches.
Troubleshoot and report system incidents/problems and abnormalities.
Create and maintain operational documentation and reports.
Setup IT policies, standard operating procedures, change management, to ensure standardized system environments.
Update configuration management database with updated info and configuration
Veritas cluster, storage foundation and netBackup with backup, archive and purging of data.
Perform system planning and change management tasks, and proactively monitor IT systems and recommend enhancements and upgrades when necessary:
Monitor systems capacity and resource utilization
Collect systems performance and fine tune
Perform capacity planning and conduct appropriate actions to deal with capacity issues
Plan, install and configure hardware and system software changes
Manage projects including understanding and analyzing requirements, providing technical advice, to implementing new systems, performing UAT, ORT, system changes and coordinating activities.
Perform & support system migration, data migration, hardware tech-refresh, OS upgrade and patch management.
