Senior Quantity Surveyor for AIMA Construction Company, Maldives

Role and Responsibilities :


  • Prepare tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities with the architect and/or the client.
  • Assist in establishing a client's requirements and undertaking feasibility studies .Should have experience with more than 150 Million US Dollars project.
  • Undertake cost analysis for construction and maintenance project work.
  • Perform risk, value management and cost control during the different construction phase to ensure construction process is within the budget and cost.
  • Identify, analyze and develop responses to commercial risks.
  • Prepare and Lead on procurement strategy. Maintain up to date procurement schedules.
  • Ensure robust, accurate and timely cost and value reporting at both project and business unit level .
  • Ensure accurate cash flow reporting takes place .
  • Carry out cost management including forecasting Update the monthly CVR, cost and commercial plans and have accountability, along with the project team for the commercial performance and strategy.
  • Provide advice on contractual terms and conditions .
  • Value completed work and prepare bills for submission to the client.
  • Report progress to senior management .
  • Work closely with contract and site management staff to support the smooth running of the office and the site, carrying out other duties as required.


Skills and experience


  • 8 - 15 years experience in a Quantity Surveying background is required with good knowledge of the construction industry.
  • The candidate will be expected to have good IT skills and be literate in Excel.
  • Knowledge of well used Accounting software, Microsoft Project, Revit, Navisworks and CAD would be beneficial.


Qualifications


Degree or equivalent qualification in Quantity Surveying or other relevant discipline.


The successful candidate will work both independently when required and as part of a motivated team, having an enthusiasm to be involved in being the face of the company.
