1. To ensure that an appropriate financial policy framework is in place to guide financial decision-making and development particularly in relation to reserves, expense and granting ratios and income streams
2. To ensure the appropriateness of the key assumptions included in the charity's strategic plans and annual budget proposals. Provide advice to senior management colleagues on these matters
3. To work closely with the Leadership Team as part of a mutually supportive senior management team, advising them on the likely financial consequences of all proposed courses of action
4. To maintain contact and liaise with bankers, pension advisors and auditors to ensure the long term financial security and stability
5. To contribute as an effective member of the company’s Operational Management Team
6. To participate in meetings of departmental heads as necessary
7. To be prepared to act as a member of project management teams as necessary
8. To provide a high level of professionalism reflected in a sound budgetary policy resulting in maximum granting to the field
9. To maintain records to meet external legal and tax requirements
10. To ensure financial and other reporting systems are maintained to the standards required by external auditors and regulatory bodies
11. To prepare annual budget and forecasts aligned to strategic plans and in accordance with guidelines provided
12. To ensure that an appropriate financial policy framework is in place to guide financial decision-making and development particularly in relation to reserves, expense ratios and income streams
13. To ensure the appropriateness of the key financial assumptions included in the company's strategic plans and annual budget proposals. Provide advice to senior management colleagues on these matters
14. To provide full accounting services to Directors and other Managers including departmental financial analysis and exploring any potential problems with them in order to make appropriate budgetary decisions
15. To provide accounting services for use by Managers in planning and controlling the work including financial accounting, management accounting, forecasting, and budgeting and control systems
16. To ensure the production of accurate monthly management accounts
17. To produce rolling cash flow forecasts, monitor cash position daily and ensure creditors’ terms are met
18. To plan and manage company's tax liabilities under existing and proposed legislation. Evaluate the tax liability impact of contemplated courses of action, minimize the tax burden and deal with tax authorities
19. To prepare the statutory annual accounts including a draft trustees report for consideration by the Board
20. To undertake such other financial analysis and reporting as requested by the Chief Operating Officer
21. To keep abreast of financial, tax and corporate governance developments across the shipping industry from professional advisors and bodies as well as by liaising with other Financial Directors in other, similar companies
22. To advise the Leadership Team on major financial issues as they arise
23. To manage and maintain the financial accounting systems of the company
24. To manage and maintain fixed asset and depreciation records
25. To produce monthly financial reports for the Management as required
26. To compile and submit regular gift aid claims
27. To manage and maintain the payroll system
28. To compile and submit returns as required
29. To attend all mandatory meetings
30. To prepare and submit all necessary reports
31. To attend other Ad hoc tasks 


Gender : Male (Single or should be ready with bachelor's accommodation)
Preferred Qualification : M. Com., M.B.A. Finance, C.A., ICWA
Experience : Minimum 5 Years as Accounts Manager or Finance Manager or Finance Controller or similar positions only.
Preferred Industry : Oil Tanker Shipping
Salary : Will not be constraint to a suitable candidate
