Job Summary:

The role will be responsible for developing a lively intranet community including promoting the adoption of social collaboration features as well as shaping the future direction of the platform. As the intranet evolves, the person in this role will hold responsibility for the overall design, site navigation, site content, engagement and training of users, coordination with key stakeholders and oversight of the technology.

Responsibilities:

The incumbent will be responsible for: 
• Establishing the Client's intranet as a primary internal communications channel
• Moderating, encouraging and promoting user-generated content
• Championing the intranet internally, driving usage so it becomes embedded in our ways of working 
• Enabling employees to connect and access relevant news and information
• Acting as the primary point of contact and advice on online communications
Technology & Admin:
• High level of comfort with social software and other web-based technologies
• Strong knowledge of using SharePoint (essential)
• Manage common administrative tasks or liaise with IT staff around those tasks
• Ability to review online analytics and conduct usability reviews

Social:
• Demonstrable experience of managing a social intranet and developing and managing online communities (essential)
• Experience in maximising use and potential of social media tools
• High level of comfort with social software and other web-based technologies

Stakeholder engagement:
• Strong experience of building networks and relationships leading to positive results. 
• Highly developed interpersonal and skills, including influencing and negotiation

Content & Information:
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Able to tailor communication style to the needs of specific audiences
• Conduct research to understand intranet user needs
• Strong editorial skills and able to create clear and engaging online content
• Good understanding of knowledge management principles

Other:
• Highly developed cultural awareness and ability to work well in a diverse, international environment 
• Ability to juggle operational delivery with strategic thinking
• Internal communications experience in complex organisations.

Education and Experience:
• Bachelors degree required 
• Minimum 2 years experience managing and implementing intranets or collaboration software
• Excellent knowledge of all Sharepoint software platforms
