Position: Tractors Mechanic

Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Lead Mechanic to oversee the servicing and maintenance of trucks, dumpers, and tractors. The ideal candidate will have 12 years of experience, having previously worked with a reputed manufacturer or dealer. You will be responsible for ensuring all vehicles are in optimal working condition, providing leadership to the mechanics team, and maintaining high safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervision and Leadership: Lead a team of mechanics in diagnosing and repairing mechanical issues in trucks, dumpers, and tractors.
• Maintenance and Repairs: Conduct routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on a variety of heavy machinery and vehicles.
• Inspections: Perform detailed inspections of vehicles to identify potential issues and ensure compliance with safety standards.
• Parts Management: Manage inventory of parts and supplies, ensuring availability for timely repairs and maintenance.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate records of service and repairs performed, including parts used and labor hours.
• Training and Development: Mentor and train junior mechanics to enhance their skills and knowledge.
• Safety Compliance: Ensure all work is performed in accordance with safety regulations and best practices.
• Collaboration: Work closely with management to schedule maintenance and address any operational concerns.

Qualifications:

• Experience: 12 years of experience as a mechanic, preferably with heavy vehicles such as trucks, dumpers, and tractors, gained from a reputable manufacturer or dealer.
• Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and electrical systems.
• Leadership skills with the ability to manage a team effectively.
• Relevant certifications or vocational training in automotive or mechanical engineering.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel as needed
